Hi Guys,

I wanted to give an update on my visa status. I got DM yesterday on 29/05/12. My application was received on Dec 21, 2011. It was transferred to ND on Feb 9. I got PPR on Feb 29 and my application was "In Process" on April 13. My passport was received by ND on April 20. So I got DM in almost 5 months. I have lived out of India for the last 7 years of which I have lived in 2 countries for more than 6 months and traveled to another 3 for less than 6 months. Congrats! you seems really lucky! with so much of travel history , u have got your DM within 5 months. Thats great! Enjoy your time
I actually dont know where my luck has gone! i have a very simple and clear case with no travel history. just 1 trip to my honeymoon, but still my e cas say " in process" Want my DM badly!

I emailed the New Delhi office regarding the situation, and by email they replied the following:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

Please be advised that our office requested you for passport submission to our office at the below mentioned address by post on 10-05-2012.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

But they still didnt attach anything. I dont know what to do now. I still cannot post the passport without their letter. Can someone please help.

you can still send the passport to ND with the latest letter that you got from them.
Also write a cover letter saying that you didnt recieve the original passport request letter that they sent you and hence you are attaching the latest letter that you recieved from them, along with your passport and the receipt for the proof of payment of landing fee.

I have sent mine spousal application but did not attach PCC as it is in process. I will sent it as soon as I receive it, will that have any effect on my applicaton? Has anyone sent PCC after sending the application?

Does New - Delhi send PPR request via email on specific days or they send them any days of week ?

When sending the passport to CHC-ND, do i also have to send them a prepaid return address envelope or will they take care of sending it back to me.

So just send the passport to them, and they will when visa is issued send it back themselves????
