when I got the PPR from ND, it had mentioned to pay the RPRF fees.

I paid it online, took two copies of the receipt.
Filled up the information in both of them.
I mailed one copy of receipt to CPC-M through Canada Post
I mailed another copy of receipt to the ND along with the passport.

vengat beat me to it - I was about to post the same suggestion. This seems like the best advice to cover all the bases.

why would ecas have updated my file name twice?

hi all!
something weird has happened.
i checked my file status...
i used my spouse's client id.. and checked.. wherein already under sponsorship status- it showed- Decision Made and for Permanent Residence Application Status- it said application received. now they have again updated my name... and now it says even under Sponsorship Application Status- application received and under Permanent Residence Application Status- application received. now when i log in using immigration file no. to check my status.. twice my name is added.. this has been recent development...
what to do???

just in case they forgot you the first time, they have option to look twice good luck

i got email from MP, they are going to start criminality/security. any idea how long that takes. she has never left india and has lived in just 2 address, that too in same province in same country.

he said "next week". but i got a letter from cic nd the next week. so i didnt email him . i tot if i email him 2 weeks later i might get a more recent info. but tat didnt work .

i'd say 1 week is normal. i will wait 2-3 weeks and apply for the GCMS notes.

I sent around 60. I send ones that showed family , the ceremony , lot of people. Things which will convince you that this is a genuine wedding. end of the day there is no right answer for the question. the photos shld convince that this is a genuine marriage.

2. Is it via email ?
3. If it is via email, how long did the MP took to reply to your email ?

It takes a week. I contacted him using his email address, send all possible info like UCI , file number. My MP replied the very next day and told me that he will have more info in a week.

Did you get a receipt atleast from your MP ? If not i will recommend you go down to the office directly and deal with it asap.

No I have not got any reply from the MP...After that I have also sent two reminders...I think I should visit their office...

In my case I contacted MP via email, I sent it twice with 2 days interval, then he responded me back the next day saying he already checked with cic and will contact me with their response, after two days they sent me cic's response. saying "All is well"

after passport is submitted approximately how long does it take for file to be in process? from this forum i'm thinking its 3 weeks. in process might last for 1 - 6 months.

this is my experience/understanding. unless they ask more proof for the relationship it is 1 month.

my passport reached them on feb 21 and my app became in process on march 21.
