Sent passport straight to Accra on 3rd of November & I got counterfoil today.
Good luck to everyone waiting.
Congratulations.

Does getting counterfoil mean the High Commission has now stamped the passport and printed the COPR and is ready for collection by VFS?

Hello everyone,
I’ve finally received my Passport. The wait is finally over.

Up until yesterday morning, VFS kept saying my passport is still at the embassy. From time to time I do try to track my DHL waybill cause I paid for 2-way courier. And late yesterday afternoon I tracked it again and saw that my passport has been picked up from VFS Abuja.

The last mail I got was on the 28th of October stating that my passport has been forwarded to CVO. Anyways, to cut long story short the eagle has finally landed..

I pray that those also waiting for theirs will all receive it in Jesus name. Have a beautiful day and goodluck.

Hi Guys, sorry I have been a bit MIA, Mans been busy with all the trips and settling down. But finally I am now in Canada. It was a very smooth one right from Nigeria regardless of the flight duration which was very long. Flight from the UK to Canada was much better and the CBSA at the border control here in Canada was very welcoming. I wish you guys the best see y'all in Canada. Cheers!!!

Please what is your timeline?

Hello Everyone,
Please do you have to book an appointment to submit your passport in person after receiving a PPR?
Any response would be appreciated. Thanks.

What is the submission information in the letter?

if it's a permanent residence application, I think you can, but it'll be easier to send it through VFS, cos they'll provide tracking information every step of the way. if you're in Ghana, just send a mail to info.canghaiom@vfshelpline.com and request for the necessary information for submitting your passport. but if you're in Nigeria, send an email to info.cannig@vfshelpline.com.

if you're in Nigeria you can also send straight to VFS Accra, just send a mail to the Accra address and state that you want to send your passport to them from Nigeria

Sending straight to VFS Accra is faster but more expensive compared to sending through VFS Lagos. it'll take Accra about 2 weeks to send your passport back but people that have sent through VFS Lagos have said it takes about 6 weeks.

I personally sent straight to Accra VFS cos I didn't want to wait 6 weeks and I got my passport back in exactly 2 weeks.

But if its a Visiting Visa, I can't tell because I have no information on that. because I've seen people that send their passports to Nairobi from Nigeria for Temporary Visas.

But if you're Ghana and it's a visiting visa, just contact VFS and let them know.

Goodluck

Thanks a lot for the response. Greatly appreciated.

The letter itself doesn't provide much information about submission of the passport. It just lists the passport requirements (eg. passport must be valid, etc.)

I live in Accra and it's a visitors visa so I guess I'll contact VFS Accra to inquire about in-person submission.
