quick question to all:

how were you/your spouses contacted? thus far, i have only been cotacted via snail mail and have never received an email from CIC. should i expect the same for my hubby when they attemtp contact for an interveiw? or should i expect a phone call? will it likely be me (the sponsor) or him that they contact?

answers are appreciated

Maybe make yourself your husband's representative and/or email a request that all mail be sent to you in Canada (if you're in Canada, of course). You can also send them an email asking them to contact you via email.
My husband was sent mail by the Ghana embassy, but never got it; they sent a copy to me as his representative, so that's how we found out about the final decision.

what email do i send it to?

You can send it to the visa office in Accra. This page has the link:

All correspondence with the Accra office for me was through email followed by a mail through the post. But I guess its different for everybody.

thanks canadian woman

@concrete, if you checked yes that you can be contacted via email on your appl. form, and they have both your email addresses, you will be contacted thru your email. My husband got an email from the embassy regarding his interview, and I was also contacted via email to submit the docs they requested. My husband got the hard copy of the interview letter exactly 30days after the interview date.(talk of ssssnail mail), or imagine if we did not have alternate contact info.
Wishing you God's favour all the way, I am sure you will get an email from them by the end of May.

@ Paloma, no, not yet, but we are believing God for favour. Where are you landing? am sure you are really excited.... :D

Ify, God has answered you prayers in faith.
I have gathered from this thread that it is a good idea to fill the use of representative form as the postal system with Accra is slow and is designed to make people miss their appointment.

@ ify toronto and yes I am so excited to see my hubby after 5months :D :D

ecas update: medicals received in accra ;)

that's the first i've heard such an update. is this the norm? is this a good sign?

Yes, it's normal, and it's a good sign. They are supposed to receive the medicals - it's when the medicals are lost that you have to worry.

thanks for confirming canadian woman

ok, weirdest thing ever pple, logged on to ecas yesterday after bout a couple of weeks, and I saw medicals received. I guess my question is can they invite you for an interview before they get your medical result?
I am beginning to think its been there all those times and i didn't just notice, but I can swear it just appeared.
@Paloma, did your ecas say medicals received before you got the invite for the interview? I'd really appreciate any insights from anyone.
Cheers..
