Our lawyer doesn't have the documents. She is sending a letter to AVO. @colmiz , @queenanetor , @Ugoswife , @Cutie101 .

This is awful. The cost that is going to go in to replacing them is ridiculous. I'm so angry.
Very awful am sorry for this awful situation, if it's a case where the lawyer submitted the originals to Immigration he/ she should pay for the replacement of those documents however I will still send and e-mail to AVO to check if they have them, the lawyer should know better am just hoping they find them an u don't have to spend another cent. Hoping for t the return of those documents.

HEllo. Urgent Help needed!!
My wife's application was refused december 2016 due to proxy marriage (marriage certificate). I am yet to submit the new application and i am a Quebec resident. My wife recieved her Certificat de selection in her old application. So i am wondering if i can still use the old CSQ for this new application. Because there is a question in the Generic Application which ask "if you have already recieved the CSQ".

sHOULD I CHECK YES OR NO?
I think you should because they will find out anyway

I never saw the original guide for apps prior to to the January 2017 new app. Did it say not to include originals? My lawyer said she has never had this happen before where they do not give them back. I don't know what else to do... my lawyer is going to write to AVO. My husband will start applying to replace the documents. :(
They should be able to give it back though. I don't think it will come to that dear. Don't sweat it, there is always a way out

My wife also said she hope that they will send it along with her passport because we have our original marriage certificate and all her school documents...so I did send them a email waiting for response from them and her medical results came back passed...so hopefully I will hear from them...did you send them a mail?

But the letter says please bring original documents that’s why she did
Please bring the following original documents with you to the interview:

Ø Your marriage certificate.

Ø Photos of your marriage ceremony (if you are being sponsored by your spouse).

Ø Proof of communication (i.e. photos, letters, E-mails, phone bills) between you and your sponsor,

and any other documentation you may have in respect to your relationship.

Ø Historical identification such as school documents, birth certificates, previous passports etc. (Please bring originals of documents to interview if not already submitted)

Ø Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide

@Elohim, I also reside in Quebec and the answer is you have to mark NO cos the CSQ you have is for your previous application and since she did not landed it is not valid. Therefore, you have to mark no so when you get your approval letter from Saga as a sponsor then you have to send them a new application with your approval letter to sponsor for a new CSQ.

@Ugoswife, I think like becos said you are almost done. What you saw there means they have completed your background check. I am Jan 2017 applicant and mine says "your application is in progress: we will send you a message when we start your background check.
