Hello everyone it's been a while since I logged in. However congratulations to everyone who has heard from Avo and or received PPR Request..I am an August 30th 2016 Applicant and still haven't heard anything from Avo..my question is for those who submitted additional documents, was it submitted under the impression of the applicant or the sponsor. Also the people who have been contacted by Avo what was ur Gckey saying was there and update thanks very much in advance looking forward to get your feedback.
Nothing has changed on Gckey from the day file was transferred to AVO till date, even with PPR, the background check still says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

I agree that MyCIC doesn't provided much info. But for those who are still trying to connect, I just got my husband's to link after weeks of trying. My big discovery is that the information needed to link his account was based on his previous application for a visitor visa, which was denied. Specifically, I discovered that his town was spelled with a "U" in the visitor visa application, and an "O" in the permanent resident application (there are two commonly used spellings for his town). In any case, I'm finally linked it and there isn't a whole lot of new information there. For those who previously applied for visitor visas, go back and check what was submitted.

Before figuring out how to link it, I called the CIC service line and followed all the prompts. After verifying info, their automated system gave me just about all the information that is available on MyCIC. For example, in the basic online tool for checking status (before linking the account), it said that the medical was received. On the phone (and on MyCIC) it says the medical was passed, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, after at least 30 minutes, I got to speak with someone who helped me verify his UCI (which I got mixed up with mine) and how many people were on the application (2, not 1 or 4, even though I have two children who are Canadian and were included in the application). She told me that his name was also documented in all caps.

Maybe this will help someone else.

CIC Client Centre 1-888-242-2100. Try to verify every field-- spelling of everything, caps, etc. Good luck!

I don't think it takes more than a week. You can request for GCMS to confirm (not visa officer's note but correspondence between you and visa office and visa versa)

I guess there are issues in myCIC? Our account is saying that they are reviewing the results of my husband and kids' medical tests, which is great, except that CIC hasn't actually requested, nor has my family done the medicals yet. This update seemed to occur overnight.

Not sure how accurate this info is...but when AVO requested for remedicals, it changed to we are reviewing your medical result. I checked myCIC on the same day the request was made to submit new medical and that was what I saw.

Not two minutes after I posted this my husband sent me an email showing that the medicals have been requested.

We are April 2017 applicants.
