For all those who received your GCMS notes, did anything get updated before you got PPR? Or was it just updated that day?

Sadly, I feel like AVO would be that one office to be updating THAT DAY.. Hopefully a successful applicant can tell me otherwise, am hoping. :-[
And I say that not to be negative but just by the reports of this specific office being understaffed and not funded to the capacity as other Visa Offices.

Forumites,
My sponsorship was approved and then file sent to Accra for residency processing. I pray for more and faster movements than we have had in recent times. Please attempt to link my application to myCIC has not been successful it keeps saying application could not be found. Please, can anyone give any helpful suggestion?

Thank you.

when it comes to interviews It is not mentioned in your sponsorship letter. this is one of the roles of a Accra visa officer ultimately they decide if an interview is absolutely necessary. for it to be waived at the approval stage sorry its highly unlikely. Perhaps it's a declaration of faith :)

but you can see opana said he has been weaved if you see on his profile

Yes I see it. interview are needed when there seem to be some inconsistent information in the PR application and the visa officer needs further clarification. interviews are only requested once the visa officer goes through the PR application and there seems to be some holes when it comes to determining eligibility. you will only be waived an interview once the visa officer is satisfied with your file. Like I mentioned...this could be a declaration of faith for the applicant to state that an Interview had been waived at such an early stage. If anyone has experience or better knowledge of this process feel free to enlightening us all. Happy Friday

Hi Jay&TeamC, I guess u are refering to me. I put waive as an act of faith. For general information though, Interviews are usually conducted for two reasons.

1.) for auditing purpose in which case any application is selected radomly for interview. even if everything is complete and more than correct.

2.) when the visa officer have a doubt while processing an application and they decide to interview the applicant for any reason at all.

In all interview is not a must and actually I believe much less than half of applicants are invited for interview.

GisG2, check back in this forum for the August to September time frame, a few people were helping others debug their situation with linking. I linked fairly easily with what I learned from them. What stuck out in my mind was was that you have to include yourself in the count of applicants.

I did a quick search by clicking through the early 500's, but didn't see much except make sure you are using a computer, not a tablet nor phone:

Start on page 506 and work backwards through the pages, but jump some to get to the September and August times and see if you find something. It is tedious work, I was only able to go through 5 of them for you.

Or if you would like, send us more info or let's arrange a screen share offline and some of us can try walk you through it, if you are comfortable with it.

Hello members, AVO is also a very lazy office regardless of how they are funded. I applied for a proof of Canadian citizenship for my daughter and they told my wife to change my mailing address in Canada to the Accra office address so as soon as they receive they will call my wife to come pick it up instead of me receiving it in Canada and mail it to her in Ghana. Immigration Canada received the application in Canada 15 November 2016 and mailed the certificate to Accra since December 12 2016 for pick but I can not believe almost 3 months the Accra office did not call us to come pick up the certificate. If I had not call cic in Canada to check the status of the application yesterday I wouldn't have known it was sent to Accra since December 12 2016. Did it take 3 months to make a call? I don't really know why they just keep the certificate thinking that is their property?
