Quick question. Hubby was asked to submit police clearance certificate for each country he has resided in since age 18. He schooled in the UK. Came back in 2012 and hasn’t been back since then. We submitted original police clearance from UK upfront with our application. My question is, can we resubmit the same one we submitted initially since he hasn’t been back in the UK anyway? We were given 2 weeks to submit passport and we can’t get police clearance before that time is up. I remember someone on the forum saying they just resubmitted the same one when submitting passport but I cannot remember who it was. Thanks for your help.
Hello,
The police clearance is only valid for 1 year, if its past 1 year you will need to apply for a new one. but since he hasn't visited since the last time you submitted the last police report you can re-summit the old one.
Ours was the opposite, my hubby hasn't been to Nigeria since he summit the last police clearance for nail,so we summited the old naive police clearance. But since he leaves in the UK, we had to a new uk police clearance. Also we were giving two weeks to summit it all. we applied for the uk clearance and then rented to the confirmation page and attached it with the passport along with a cover page explaining to them that the due to the short time Frame the police clearance will be mailed separately to cic Ghana when its ready.( one mistake we made us ,it was possible for UK police to mail the police clearance directly to Ghana as long as you include your file number reference it, we didn't know that ).
But In your case I believe you can use the same police clearance.
