Hello everyone, I am very happy to announce my hubby and stepson have their passports with their visas, and will finally be coming to me on June 25th . Thank you everyone for your kind words and support, I will always remember your encouragement through my tears. To everyone dont give up! We did 5 years of marriage , 4.5 years of CIC issues, but in the end there is victory!

To the very end there was issues, we prepaid for dhl, on Friday we got the email from CIC stating the passport was ready for pickup, we promptly called dhl, who informed us they only go to the embassy once a day at 11 am and also we needed proof from the embassy sent to them to pick it up. I was so frustrated, but sent them the email from the embassy, the email address given did not work. My husband then had to go to dhl in person on Saturday, he showed them the email they reassured us it would be picked up Tuesday morning as Monday was a holiday. Needless to say , Tuesday morning came and went, no package. I made a complaint and was told they would not attempt to pick up our package because they had not received proof from CIC. I then sent the proof once again. This led us up until today with them still refusing to pick it up, stating CIC has to call them and order pick up. My husband was furious and ended up sitting in the dhl office for over an hour refusing to leave until he had the package. Eventually they went and retrieved it at which point they then harrassed him for id, this was after all the phone and written complaints ,plus 2 in person visits. Eventually they had him open the package to show them his passport. Talk about frustration. Be prepared in case this issue comes up, DHL will blame CIC, it made no sense to me at all....we paid for a package , how can they refuse to go get it??? Anyways, all is done now, Im very happy for everyone receiving ppr now and for those others, it will soon be your turn, you just keep the faith, complain when you need to, ask questions, email, keep pushing and be on top of everything! your hard work will pay off!

Hey guys .
I got this email back from the Ministerial Enquiries Division

This is what it says

Dear Ms. ..............:

Thank you for your correspondence of March 13, 2017, addressed to the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, concerning the status of your family sponsorship. We apologize for the delay in responding to you.

We understand your wish to have your husband join you in Canada as soon as possible.
Family reunification is a key priority for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Although Family Class applicants are assessed under relaxed criteria, the visa officer must be satisfied that they are not inadmissible to Canada.

The Department realizes that those who have submitted their applications look forward to a decision being rendered within a reasonable waiting period after applying. IRCC makes every effort to deal with the applications it receives in the most efficient and effective way. However, the many steps involved in processing an application, coupled with the volume of applications, sometimes make it difficult to conclude cases in as timely manner as we would like.

IRCC conducts background checks by working together with partner agencies such as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the Canada Border Services Agency, medical authorities and agencies of foreign governments. Background screening processes are non-discriminatory and universal in their application, and any delays or requirements that IRCC’s partner agencies may require in providing input are something over which the Department has no control. In such cases, the processing times posted on the IRCC Website may no longer apply.

IRCC’s records show that your spouse’s application for permanent residence, which was received September 2, 2016, is being processed at the office in Ankara and, although I cannot provide you with a precise completion date, please be assured that you and your spouse will be contacted should officials require additional information or documents, or to inform you of the next steps once a final decision has been reached.

While I realize this situation is distressing to you, I hope you find this information helpful.

Sincerely,

C. Saumier
Ministerial Enquiries Division

The electronic address

They realized that they said Ankara instead of accra so they sent me another mail to confirm it Accra
Honestly I don't no what to think of this email so if anybody have an idea then share
Thanks

Glad things are finally wrapped up for you! What an ordeal! My friend who has been through this process has said to me, when it's all finished, said and done, and you're with your loved one, it's like the whole process never happened. It doesn't matter. Only the future does. May this be your story moving forward. All the best. :)

Congratulation, I am very glad for you and your family! I also wish everyone waiting to hear similar good news very soon. So now according to my experience the visa office goes according to the date the application was filled not the date it was transfer.
I'm still not totally convinced that's true. There have been quite a few cases where they have approved people out of order like Sarahabc, uCHEMAMA and gapoha. However maybe they are sticking to the first in first out but approving those with easier cases or cases that have pressure on them, sooner. Like gapohas china work visa was going to expire sort of thing. Just when you think there is a trend CIC throws us off, but I do agree with you that it relatively sticks to an order. July apps are definitely being processed. We can only hope August is next. Charlie04 and ninche should be up next though to complete July, followed by tender as the first August applicant among us other than Sarahabc.. Oh the waiting game.... and I study this process way too much.... lol :p

Hi there, welcome to the group. It appears they are working on July applicants right now, but those are outland spousal sponsorships. Did you apply inland? Those applications take much longer, from what I understand.
