For all those who recently got their ppr i have a quick question for you. How long into your application did you receive an update on the background check column in your ecas? My wife is April 4 applicant and up till now it says background check not started. I used to think background check in Canada take a months and with my wife's background check not even started, i am beginning to get furious. Can someone let me know how long it took from when their background check got updated to when they received PPR.

From what we read in this forum you will only get further updates after ppr. That is the case for all of us waiting.

what you are asking about family composition does not apply to us in Nigeria.
The second about national service, realistically NYSC is a national service to the nation, i ll say yes nd you just need to add or support it with a note of explanation.

I it helps how I break it down. what we have is additional family information.

you are thinking too much,...you don't need to tick..anything...they know that it's a general thing for Nigerians
The service they mean is probably the armed forces or maybe government Job
....just include your NYSC certificate...case closed...

That's How i filled it, when I applied for my PR last year...and I got it

BUT I AM HERE SAFELY STAYING WITH MY WIFE .
JUST BEEN HERE ALMOST A WEEK AND I AM ENJOYING THE COLD WEATHER.
TRUST ME IT WILL BE LIKE DREAM JUST BELIEVE IN GOD.
