My hubby did his at IOM for Ghc 600 in Jan 2016. Akai is charging Ghc 800. When did you apply?

IOM could be charging around 650 now. Had mine there middle of last year and paid around 550.

Thanks guys..Mandie its early days..file was transferred to Accra and changed to started processing May 18..both hubbys and stepsons meds are now expired..trying to get a sense of costs..thanks everyone!

We are so confused at this point. My hubby got a ppr since April 21, 2016 on his email address he used previously in applying for visa in 2013 and was refused. On the sponsorship forms, he put a different email address but these guys sent the request to his old one. He eventually while trying to check for a contact on his old email, to his suprise, he saw the PPR. The sad thing is that he was asked to submit his passport with updated imm5669 and imm8 which we dont knw wat imm8 within 15days from the email which was april 21 and today is may 31.They mentioned in the email that if they dont hear from him within 15 days, they would assume he is no longer interested and the application will be cancelled. They also said his medicals will expire june 18th. So now what on this earth can we do ASAP? Pls helpppppppp

Hi Pokie,

I think you should fill the forms as requested and send in your passport with a letter, explaining what caused the delay: the different email accounts.

I concur. First send them CSE ASAP to explain the situation to them so that they are aware beforehand. And then send the requested docs with an explanation as soon as possible. The reason is that your docs will take a few days before getting to them and they can decide anything at anytime, and you wouldn't want them to cancel the application only for you to chase them to reverse the decision. CSE is fast and they get the information before they even receive your docs. They will give you a restricted time to land. Congratulations.

please attach a cover letter to the documents requested and explain in detail about the confusion.
I pray and I remain positive that they would understand the scenario.
I do advise ppl to check their spam and previous email addresses bcos of sensitive applications like this.

@pokie....I agreed with drpiro....but plz u have no much time to waste since ur visa will be expiring in the next 14days ...They are waiting for the medical to expire before they will send him a refusal letter so make sure to fax them one of the explanation letter and state in it that the documents which they requested has been shipped ....God is in control and everything will be fine. ...all the best

I agreed with the guideline from the house it happen to a friend but he was lucky he saw the mail in his spam mail after 2 -3 weeks of the time line and wrote explanation later and he was consider.

Thank you all so much for these advices. Yesteryday, we replied to their email with an explanation as to what happened and also informed them that we are going to send a hardcopy of the explanation and also all the requested documentations today. We also plan on faxing a copy of the explanation letter aswell. Least i forget, there is a place they wrote updated family information imm8, whats imm8? I guess its the generic form imm008 am i correct?
