That just means that your sponsor has been approved to be your sponsor (that happened in March when your sponsor got SA and the file was transferred to Accra). And the application received status just means that CIC has your application. Our date for that is the date it arrived in Mississauga. Hopefully you should hear from them soon and the status will change to in progress ;D Our ECAS says the same things as yours. We sent in our application March 18 and it was transferred to Accra at the end of April.

oh ok hi guys good afternoon to y'all , hope you are all doing well hangin in there? Out of boredom I was reading backwards from page 80 and I realized few things , many people got their visas within 6 month or heard from Accra 2 to 4 months From August last year till date . And that is a good sign . I also realized people posted alot of questions but didn't get responds from other members . I think we are doing so well , at least we try to respond to everything posted here . We are more active and for that I say well done guys for keeping this page alive . Our predecessors did a good job keeping it for us and hopefully we past it on to others too lol. I realized some people seeks advice or help when they wanted and never got back to share good news with others . That is rather unfortunate . I hope and urge everyone here to continue to share every contact or update they get from Accra as this can go a long way to lift us our spirits and give us hope . Post your timelines so that you can be added to the spreadsheets. And to those who reads but never post anything we urge you all to say something lol. Stop hiding behind the scenes . :)

man any news yet ? How did it go for you ? Did Dhl successfully picked up your visa the next day ?

hi obron thanks for keeping our page alive. once i get any update i will surely paste. on another note, getting thru immigration after receiving COPR was fairly smooth. there were no harasments the border security officers were nice to a fault. i was not asked to show anything except the COPR and who i was going to stay with if any. it took me about 5min to be processed thru and this happened this january. so for everyone nursing anxiety over the canadian border crossing relax. financially i was not bouyant when i landed and that was my concern, i had only $2500 on me. yet i survived, now i hold 3 diff jobs have my own accomodation, all within 4 months. my soft landing was my uncle who gave me the proper orientation and was up and running within a week. any way for most of you guys that should not be a problem cos your spouse just like me has gone ahead of you to make the transitiion easy.
