Anyone has a dependent child for Jamaica? My husband got his landing last week in Etobicoke our daughter's passport has been sent to the Kingston high commission since December 21st since they asked for it back in November when my husband's application got sent to the Etobicoke office. I just want to know when they will stamp her passport and send it back?

Schedule A Update requested- 12/21/2017- Sent 12/22/2017
Medical requested- 12/21/2017 even though valid one on file- sent proof and no response yet- Valid until 04/06/2018
Sponsor approved- 12/22/2017
Transferred to Manila- 01/05/2018
Began Processing Manila- 01/08/2018
Nothing further yet.
Headed to Philippines late January for a few weeks and sure would be nice to bring my wife's daughter with us! What an amazing bday present it would be.

Anybody got a mail like this from NDVO? I got this today from 'DoNotReply-DELHI-Immigration@international.gc.ca'.

Dear XXXXXXX,
Thank you for choosing Canada! We know this is a very exciting time in planning an important change in your life.
We have received your application for permanent residence. We expect to begin working on your application within the next two months. We will need time to review and assess your file. We should be ready to communicate with you again by May or June 2018. We understand that the waiting period can be difficult but please rest assured that we have not forgotten about you.
We appreciate the time you have taken to prepare your application.

I applied in July 2017. It looks like they will take the full 11 months (as per the timeline for dependent child) to process the Sponsorship approved application of a 6 month old baby....!!! Such a terrible process. Don't know what to say these guys...!!!

Got the Aor1 on August end and Spons. Decision Made on September 6th.
No updates after that. No AOR2. What does this mean ?

If its just an automated email, it would be great...!!! If the decision is made by this month end, that would be awesome.

So your wife also spending time outside Canada which will affect the 2 year stay period within Canada to maintain PR status right? My wife situation is the same. My wife already spent 1.5 years outside Canada. Can I have your email? I am from Chennai too.

I am about to apply for my first TRV in 2 weeks. Please tell us why TRV was rejected.

I would send them an email and ask. I did just that, as they asked for a Medical and our daughter had a valid one. They just emailed me, said it isn't required and updated our file from reviewing results of Medical to Passed. I would also contact your local MP, hopefully a Liberal and ask for assistance. They will get you to sign a consent form, for them to check status of your application. I'm not sure if it helps, seemed to with my wife's PR and also seems to with our daughter.

Hi Friends,

Happy News...After the long wait, finally i got mail for (PPR) Passport Request for my son...!!! Please see the timeline below.

* 10-July 2017 - Application Submitted
* 10-Aug 2017 - Acknowledgement received by email
* 31-Aug 2017 - Medical Request Letter received via postal mail to my Canada Address
* 10-Sep 2017 - Medical Status updated in website
* 18-Sep 2017 - Got mail that document received by NDVO and they started processing
* 16-Jan 2018 - Got mail from NDVO that they started processing and will communicate by MAY-JUNE 2018
* 22-Jan-2018 - Got the mail for Passport request (PPR) along with 2 recent photos.

P.S: I did not apply for any TRV. This is the usual processing time. It has taken around 7 months.(Son's Age - 6 months at the time of application). Hope this helps other applicants. All the best...!!!

Guys, finally after a wait of 8 months got PPR Email today. So relieved and wishing the very best for all those who are waiting for it . I am a June 2017 applicant. However,I applied for a TRV in Dec 2017. Believe that will get nullified now.
