Ya me too...Irrespective of the age of the kid whether its new born or 30 year old, they are taking the same time. There should be a fast track process if the baby is less than 5 years (School going) of age. Bcoz not much document verification for a small baby.

I agree and there must be some thinking and reason behind it. I think applying trv.after file has reached local office, connecting with the local MP to get the status or applying for GCMS notes are few of the ways to trigger and in most cases applying for trv with right documentation has changed the priority in the queue. Otherwise wait is around 5 months after file reaches local office (ndvo) with the caveat that your file is complete in all sense.

I am also July applicant. AOR 2 received from NDVO on Sep-18. Still 'In Process'. (Sponsored my son 1 year old)

-Vignesh.

I would recommend to apply for trv. TRV has less turn around time and visa officer has to look into this and if they open your pr file with trv and see all looks ok , you might be lucky one to get pr and trv both otherwise wait is long before queue finishes for pr file
Going by cases here it seems applying trv helps the pr case for prioritisation in the queue.

Aor 2 updated on dec 2
Medicals done nov 22
Aor1 on oct 5

I think its 5 months wait for me
