Processing time for TRV at NDVO is 35 days. That’s roughly around 5 weeks. My file was forwarded on 6th Oct so I am not going to worry before 10th Nov. Moreover, since there are festivals in between, I assume I am going to get something positive only after week 2 of Nov.

The website also says that the processing times could be more than expected because of the earthquake in Mexico. But I think that’s more relevant for Mexican applicants or Inland applications at best.

OK and how will you get the stamping done when the PR is approved, will you go back to India or mail the Passports or there is any work around and it can be done in Canada?

Yes. One can send the passport to CPC Ottawa for stamping.

Hi,

I am in the same boat. My daughter file transferred to NDVO on 11th Sep and applied her TRV on 13th Sep.

Still there is no update, the status is still as " We are reviewing for Eligibility" for the last 2 weeks. Hoping to get it approve asap.

Thanks

Gaurav
Hi Gaurav

I have a quick question. When you applied for your daughter’s TRV after AOR 2, did you explain the length of stay, purpose of visit, ties to home country etc to prove that in case the family class application takes longer to process, you will ensure that your daughter returns to her home country?

Hi,

My lawyer applied the VISA. Not sure the condition he mentioned in the application. He already got these type of cases approved earlier. Also, for landing formalitity, there is no need to go back to home country. You can go to "Rainbow Bridge" and other place for the same.

I have applied for sponsorship for my 8 months old daughter.

- Application sent - July 14, 2017
- Received Email- Aug 26, 2017
- Medical Request - Aug 31, 2017
- Schedule A submission- Aug 31,2017
- Medical and Schedule A submitted- Sep 7,2017
- status changed to Medical received- Sep 20, 2017
Will there be any status of schedule A received?

In my letter they have also written that "We are pleased to inform that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor". Does that mean my Approval for sponsor is done?

What are the further steps? Any idea by when application will be transferred to NDVO?

Also i am not able to link my application via GC Key. i checking status in https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do. I hope it will give latest status.

Can someone tell me what will be further steps in the process?

Sadly - just got to know of a case where a third attempt of TRV for a minor daughter was rejected while a PR application was in progress at the NDVO.

It’s such a complicated process ! :(

Guys any updates on your status?

Nope. I need an advice. Can we write to any political person for fast processing of our files as Canada govt put emphasis on "Family Reunion and togetherness" and request to communicate to CIC for fast processing. Just a thought!!! Does anybody has come up with this situation?? Please advice!!!

Not sure. But there is a way to provide feedback to IRCC’s respective VO, using the webform. One can try writing to the MP of Mississauga. It’s very important for these guys to know that just having a child born outside Canada under the love and support of our extended families shouldn’t become a reason to be away from the child instead. :( It is extremely heart breaking.

I have a very urgent query and I need some advice. My husband submitted the sponsorship application in August but we did not include IMM 5604E - declaration by non accompanying parent. This is because I will be accompanying my daughter to Canada and I also hold a PR. Before applying for sponsorship, we had two TRV rejections where we had detailed in a cover letter that my daughter would be accompanied with her PR mother to Canada on a temporary basis. So they will have all those letters and my signatures clarifying this position.

Now I have seen a few threads where CIC returned sponsorships based on Non submission of IMM 5604. To be on the safe side I immediately raised this on IRCC webform mentioning that this form was not submitted since it does not apply to our case. Moreover, the form has a declaration where it says that the Non Accompanying parent has no objection being permanently separated from the child. This definitely doesn’t sound right and hence I am quite sure that my application will not be returned.

I am planning to notarise this form now and submit through IRCC webform along with an explanation letter.

Have any of you come across this dilemma? Please respond.

As per some ministerial directions in Dec 2016, IRCC does not ask for the missing documents rather they simply reject the case and send the entire package back. I am so anxious now since its been 7 months that I have been away from my husband and just cannot afford another rejection :(

The document checklist clearly states:

I think this form is required. Document checklist clearly states if only one parent is sponsoring a minor the other non accompanying parent needs to certify through this form. I double checked with IRCC phone helpline also and they advised that this form needs to be sent along.
