Age - 12 months
Background Check was not applicable

My case was different. I had a history of 2 rejected TRVs and a third one which never got processed as they issued the PR right away.

I have the same conditions. 2 rejected TRV, 1 under review. My daughter is 1.5 yrs old.

@ssindia : thanks for the reply. So if I am right, you had applied for "TRV" and not "TRP-Temp Res Permit", correct if I am wrong ?

What I understand that for child sponsorship, the "Background Check" always remains " Not applicable" in GCKey, unlike Spousal applications where they change to "In Process" and then it turns to DM. What we should expect is directly a DM in GCKey.

I am sponsoring my 1.3month child . I got my sponsor approval since 6 oct. 2017 since then I didn’t hear anything from them till now. My questions are: 1- can I leave Canada as a sponsor and return to my country now ? 2- can I apply for a visitor visa for him until the processing is done to come to Canada for family reunion as he and his brother and their mother is out of Canada ? 3- how to follow the application in a way other than ESCA? ..... thanks

Since you got requested for an additional document, they might have enqueued your application back. But if you’re confident that nothing would be missing now, you might get a PPR soon. Also I think that because I had submitted my daughter’s pp along with the paper TRV application, they processed it faster... since they couldnt have kept the PP forever!

1. No you cant leave Canada until the sponsorship process is complete unless its a short visit

2. I dont think they are approving TRVs for children of PR Parents anymore but you can give it a shot if you have any peculiar situation which works in your favour

3. You can link your application to the MyCIC account once you receive a UCI for your son from CPC M - after u apply for the sponsorship

I believe there will not be requirment for more document as that could have asked in the same letter. Hoping they would process it fast.

I applied for my daughter first TRV in Aug when nothing has happened on the PR application ( No SA approval no medical). However they refused the application as saying PR application is in progress.
My lawyer suggested to file the TRV once the file will move to NDVO and file number will get generate . So I again applied on 13th sep. which is still under review.i believe they are working on the PR application as they started working on TRV on 13th Oct and I got a letter for NOC on 16th for the PR application from my wife.Not sure what they will grant first. Keeping finger cross.
