Congrats for opening account. In which bank u have opened the account? Can u tell me is there our Indian bank like BOB, BOI, etc etc.....and
Before ur HEALTH card come if u get ill or some like that u can get medical benefit s there might be very costly charges of doctors.

SIN card is one type of Identity? By which we can open account and other things?

You can open account with Kotak bank. They are linked with Scotia bank in Canada.Your account will be opened in Scotia bank..and you will receive debit card, cheque book, etc once you land in Canada.

landed on May 17th , living in Toronto.

everything was smooth and quick.

one just have to stick to the basics, and those should be clear in mind.

slight attunement of 'canadian english listening' may be needed.
not a big deal.


Immi. at airport took less than 3 mins.....after 10 mins of waiting.
Proof of funds were not asked.

Declaration of funds (another deptt.) took < 3 mins........after 4 mins of waiting.

18,19, 20 were holidays here.

SIN took less than 5 mins. at Scarborough Town Centre.

Royal Bank of Canada, took few mins, though for few discussions I sat with my Acc. manager for 30 mins.
who was nice, co operative, CAN raised gujrati girl.
(first 6 mths no service charge in the Chequing acc.)

now, contacting COSTI (which CIIP delhi had connected me with last month).
WES evaluation is free via them.

trying online job search, as attendant or apprentice.
which is the goal for first 3 mths.

also shall try to hand over my CV s to Store managers in person.

weather is cool for me, slight rains here.

Only difference I found is the existence of 'Discipline' in every field.
which is a remarkable.

Each week will teach new things..........sure about it.

Thank u anilji for sharing Very Useful Information I have question about Fund take with us at the time of landing.We have family of 3 person in cic .gc.ca shows We require fund 17thousand dollar for three person.how much Cash Dollar Carry with us and how we divided dollar. (In three Person Me ,My wife And Kid).

I recd medical instructions on 28th May and completed Medicals on 1st June. I can now see the Medical Recd line in my ECAS. Yesterday i filed my docs with VFS so the final countdown begins. Waiting for CHC, Delhi to respond soon
