They havent issued a single Visa in the past 20 months to MI 1

24 months is the period CIC took to process files till June 30th 2012 for MI-1 applicants, -this is wht the website says, after June 30th, 2012, i think the processing has stopped....

the figures of Visa Offices r much terrible is observed...

as per the data provided, NDVO is the fastest in asia pacific and also one of the fastest in the world.
24 months . for applications recd between nov 28, 2008 to 25 jun 2010.
as mentioned above the table "based on complete application package". which means time from full docs sent to NDVO and visa issuance.
Also this being average time. so, we can conclude that NDVO takes about 20-30 months to process 1 application after receiving full docs.
we are also aware that in 2009 NDVO issued visas to many applicants in 8 months.

lets keep faith in NDVO, n pray to God for early processing of applications.....

That 24 month theory is crap and a figment of their mind

23.08.2012= Recd call for Police verification from local PS 7.55pm
23.08.2012= Submitted all doxs,local refs,Police verification complete 8.30pm

How long will it take for the passport to be issued?

I have been saving the excel sheets of quarterly data release on data.gc.ca. Wanted to share the data which shows that the files of MI1 applicants are being worked upon. The MI1 inventory comparison of April 2011 Vs April 2012 is mentioned below. This is the data for the total number of applications for all CHC offices worldwide:

Looking at the data, one can make out that they are working on the MI 1 applications. Though the speed is very slow as compared to MI2 and MI3, but at least we can be hopeful that the cases would be cleared.
That would help pep up the optimistic attitude of all the forum members
