As a Canadian I am somewhat appalled by some of the comments on this blog.
Apparently we are unreliable, deceitful and have a poor work culture.
Half the world would like to live here. You are among the lucky few who have almost made it. If you don't feel you can be proud of your new country, may I suggest you withdraw your application and ask for a refund. Your comments, if disseminated here would stir racial and anti immigration sentiments.
I would be happy to withdraw if anyone could get my money refunded at this stage i.e. 'In-Process'. Also no race etc. has been mentioned anywhere in my comments.
I understand how utterly frustrating this is for you and can feel your frustration. However, dealing with hundreds of thousands applications is not a simple task.
I believe the Govt. of any 'developed' country should take actions/decisions only after checking out all possible scenarios of the outcome, which does not appear to be the case here.
Perhaps someone could tell me how long the wait is for the throngs waiting to immigrate to India?
Unfortunately India is a developing country and there is no comparison between India and Canada.
Canada is not perfect. Our government makes poor choices and we screw up. Nevertheless we have no culture of bribery or corruption and this is probably the best country on the planet to live.
'Best' is a subjective term, Sir. I would perhaps agree that Canada is best only if I get to stay and experience it for some time. Unfortunately, my experience till date does not qualify to call it 'Best'
I wish you all well, but please don't disrespect my country. If you feel it's corrupt, withdraw you application.
No disrespect to you personally and as I said, I am willing to withdraw if my money is refunded with interest along with compensation for time and effort spent on the entire process. @ dbag It was not properly readable so i somewhat highlighted your answers. Regards.
