came back after long time on forum
I am moving on 26th April 2015 to Toronto ON .
pray for my new land and journey .
I have some confusion regarding Amount transfer.
I am taking cash 10K CAD which is allowed.
How can i take rest amount at least 29K Can?
Please guide.

Visited this thread after long time, which once we used to visit no of times each day... Anyways, i landed in Nov 2014 & came back to Pakistan in Dec 2014 to resume my job. Plan is to shift permanently in spring of 2016 (Insha Allah). Meanwhile, will be building my financial muscle & would do few certifications being recognized in Canada. Also, waiting for rebound of Oil prices (although chances are bleak in next 2-3 years) but would be good for the job market in Canada. I didn't try to find any job during my three weeks stay in Edmonton but just to gauge got myself registered on Walmart site. Received a phone call very next day to appear in an interview but didn't go for that.... All in all, general impression of Canada was good to us. Lots of desi's & muslims were there in Edmonton, so didn't feel like coming to some alien place.

I landed in Toronto in March 2015 about 10 days before the expiration of my PR visa and returned on 21st April with my family. Was a trip to remember though in the beginning freezing cold I remember it was -19 the second day we landed in Toronto. I shall write down Inshallah the details of the experience once I get time out of business
For the time being Murtaza as has been suggested by Asim I too would say don't carry cash with you as this is neither required nor safe. You just take around 2000- 3000 $ and rest in the form of a Bank Draft. Also ask your bank to issue a letter confirming balance just in case though neither myself nor any of my colleagues were ever asked to show off the money but yet the safe way to show POF is a bank draft in your name that could be submitted in any Canadian bank just like a normal cheque and money will be transferred between banks.

hello. its been quite a while since i last visited this forum. we got our visa in dec 2014 and landed last jan 2015. we will settle for good by next year. it was great witnessing the harshest of winter, at least we get to understand what we need to prepare for. if you have a family, its great to live there... best of luck to everyone

Thank you for every member of this group forum! We have landed here in Canada last March 2015 and it was indeed a trip. Good thing that spring was in its introduction when we landed here in Manitoba. Anyhow, this forum has made my faith stronger, that what I am aiming for (Canadian visa) will be given to me. Thank you for your support, to all of us here thank you. overall Canada is great place as per my observation and only struggle is first 3-6 month . please prepare yourself prior landing and try to do few certification which they recognized and then have strong faith on God . most of our forum fellows are settle down there and I am in touch with them. so Good luck guys

Hello All,

I did my first and final landing in June 2015 from Dubai, settled in Toronto. You can find the most FAQ's and valuable information on this forum with the help of seniors.

Unfortunately the information about the Auto Insurance was not shared or may be I never encountered. Please bring the "No claim letter" from your car insurance company in Dubai to save few CAD as Auto insurance is very high compare to what we paid in Dubai. Few Auto Insurance companies accepts these letters here.

In short, Canada is beautiful country and you are doing the right thing by moving here.
