I was wondering how much it takes Islamabad office to stamp the visa and send the passports back? They received the passports on 20th Nov'14 and since then no news.

Please guide me that should I send the email to LVO or wait for few more days?

For LVO it was 6 weeks time but I don't know for ISB
See the PPR if there is any deadline to follow up.
Generally this was not a good time for waiters as Christmas and new year holidays are best time to relax for immigration officers...

Got the passports with the visa, took 48 days after I submitted my passports.

Really thankful to all the seniors for helping out in every step...

I HAVE SUBMITTED PASSPORTS OF MY FAMILY IN ISLAMABAD EMBASSY ON NOV,30 2014 BUT STILL WAITING FOR PASSPORTS. I SENDED EMAIL TO U.K OFFICE THEY ADVICED ME TO CONTACT ISB OFFICE DIRECTLY I HAVE SENDED EMAILS TO ISB OFFICE BUT THEY ARE NOT REPLYING. I GOT MY PASSPORT FROM ABU DHABI EMBASSY WITH VISA.

ANY BODY HAS ANY IDEA THAT WHATS GOING ON AND HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED.

Salaams everyone,

It's been a long time since I visited this site. I see quite a number of people who are still waiting for their visas. I pray that you guys get your visa soon. I got my visa on 17 June 2014 and I landed in Toronto on 17 August 2014. I left my family in Canada as I am working in Qatar in a government organization. I am planning to move permanently by April next year. I have already mortgage a house in Toronto last week. Luckily got a very professional and honest real estate agent who helped me get hold of a very nice house. Anyone interested to mortgage/rent a home in Toronto can contact me and I will be glad to provide him/her the guys contact details.

Now, when I will move permanently then the whole new chapter of my life will start. As my field is accounting, I noticed that it is difficult to get jobs in this field. Anyhow, I have faith in Allah and when He has moved us to Canada He will also arrange for our sustenance. I have heard people changing their profession and are successful there. The only thing is that you don't give up. Try equipping yourself with something extra. Do some technical courses that might help you in Canada. Don't feel ashamed of doing any kind of job. I am planning to get a taxi license when I will move permanently so that I may start earning something instead of sitting in the house only searching for jobs.
