Walaikum Assalam w.w.

It is hard to predict any next step from CIC and even these days Professional Najoomi’s also can’t guess the CIC processing times…. :)

Last 4 years were full of surprises from CIC, Like 6-12 months letter & then 18 months letter etc….some got visa and some are stuck at different stages…

As they say something and do something else and I think the reason behind this that they set a target but are not able to achieve it due to some limitations…
Like Staff strength, Strikes, Delay in response from other departments & last they converted many cases from CAIPS to GCMS…

I would say that everyone should apply for GCMS every 3-4 months until PPR is not received to see the real progress on case instead of depending on prediction
In this way we learn the reality about our cases and then we can discuss that with some seniors on this forum….

Always remember in your prayers…

To Apply GCMS, please see below links…

Consent Form for CAIPS/GCMS http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

Fill the name in Arabic as per passport (bcoz you have to get it translated later in English so name should be according to Passport), get it attested from MOFA in Nasrya and go to Finger print section in Dheera, you will get it in 3 days time.
thanks a lot soulmate71 for you valuable input to my inquiry, today i have done the full process as you mentioned but i did it here from alkhobar, as you said, i also filled the embassy request letter in arabic as per passport but not as per iqama bacause iqama adds four names but my passport has 3 names, but, my question is : as the guy in police station filled out a form, i guess he wrote my name as per my iqama, so, will the police clearance will be issued as per the embassy request letter OR as per the form that the policeman filled?

seniors shade some light please.

thank you nekeol and destination canada...PPR1 and 2 is their procedure to issues visas for applicants based in pak since law does'nt allow passports to be mailed outside pak....in ppr1 they ask for passport copies and family info shart while in 2 they ask applicants to submit passports and photos to islamabad office which stamps visas on london's behalf.
