Just received reply to my CSI sent on 12th October

"Your file (#B ........../E,,,,,,,,,,) is currently undergoing background checks. Please be advised that this is a lengthy process. Whilst we understand that you are eager to travel to Canada and establish with your family as permanent residents, background checks are a mandatory part of the application process and can not be expedited. Regarding the validity date of your medical results, the results will either be extended or new medicals will need to be completed dependent on when the background checks are completed.

Once the background checks have been completed we will be in contact with further developments for the processing of your file.

I am amused/puzzled by mentioning medical validity as I am waiting for medical instructions for the last one year. DEFINITELY copy paste answer.

Program assistant(DXS) is still the same since April 2013.

It's better to have all the background checks completed before MR rather then after and it looks like that all checks are done before medicals, you were asked fir UDR too early that's why you are not being sent the MR this is the time that you were suppose to be asked for UDR as its happening with the 18 month people so don't worry you are not getting too late

Hello Eemm001, I made a csi on 23/09 and got the response on 24/09 - "File is still under review" . Have requested CAIPS will let you all know as soon as I get a response. BTW - their last line was a classic - "Thank you for your patience"

Misag, I was maintain this table for the applicants who are waiting for MR more than a year after sending updated documents requests back in July/OCT 2012. If you fall in this group then I can update your details in the table.

I sent the CSI on receipt of the "B" to "E" file number change email. I just said that I had received the said email and enquired about the status of my application.

It seems, UDR category bg checks are in progress. If this is fact, they will not take so much time to issue visa after MR (inshallah).
