@ Zeeshananis: larkay hope u are doing good in ur changed life :) , finally me and jimmy met, and it became possible as it was not planned :)

I am forced to believe that we (OCT/NOV UDR's) are neither 12 nor 18 months waiters. We have been placed in to a group with no time frame/ no commitments no promises at all. Uncertainty is killing. No one knows sooner or later this whole region would turn into war zone.

All "MI-1 without MR" (Oct udr, 18 month, E-file, Pcc) have been "PUT" ("rukhwaa" diya gaya hai) :)

And not just paki applicants....british applicants have same fate.

By the way, if u noticed, delay is also for MI-2....most MI-2 people r gettin visa in about 30 months now....earlier it used to be 17 months....

In my opinion one factor is strike ! Which multiplied the delay factor!!!
Even some applicants from PVO also waiting for PPR, which is a proof that we are not only alone suffering with this delay! But many others... Lets pray they should resolve the strike issue ASAP so we can enter to next level faster!

Guys our kuwait friend sazzadkw recently sent PCC and today he received
B to E email.... He will login and write in short while !!

Seems pakoron wali surkar's (arsh) "completeness of docs" theory worked.

@ zeeshan:
The discussion we had when arsh/me got E-number (that they r shifting entire remaining applicants to gcms + everyone will get E-number) could come true. Let's see...

But interesting develoment.

The question is why at this stage re they moving us to Gcms ...are they shifting us to PVO to centralised our data?

Don't know about shifting...but MAIN advantage to yahi hai, of gcms...that it can be shifted/accessed from other countries. (That's wat I read)

Zeeshan (being an IT guy) thought that they r finishing caips and shifting completely to gcms...kinda like upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8...He said running two systems (and their back end support) costs twice...so they could be working towards closing caips n totally goin on gcms.

God knows wat the REAL reason is....jo bhi reason ho, logon ko MR bhejna shuru karein....who cares whether its caips or gcms.

If a single person already holding GCMS like me will get E file number then we can make sure that there is some other strategy and not conversion of file from CAIPS to GCMS at this stage.
I have little bit hopes to get minimum PCC and if lucky they MR together:)

I can understand the desperation of FSW applicants, however would like to share my husband's experience (may be it will help others) what I had here in last two months:

GOOD - once you landed, your every single day counts towards Citizenship (means Canadian passport) until 1095 days target reached

BAD -
(1) you have to start a new beginning. If anyone is having good job in Middle East (say earning dirham/riyals 10,000 per month) or Rs. 70-100k in Pakistan, life is quite frustrating for getting job.
(2) plenty of odd jobs available but someone should recommend you (will be your good reference) at a rate of CAD$10.75 per hour like in coffee shops, stores etc.
(3) your ego would hurt here daily - being a white collar staff in Dubai or Riyadh or Abu Dhabi when you have to perform odd job you are hurt (as I see many immigrants here)

So Canada is good for those who are willing to keep away their past experience and start a new life (probably with an odd job). There are few lucky guys too who got good jobs right at the beginning. Or if your job is safe/secure & making good money...I suggest (even after getting PR visa, just make a short landing & go back...can do this for 3 years easily) continue to earn as much as you can until you are out of job in Middle East or Pakistan or India then come here with good money.
