So its confirmed, that EVERYONE has a B-file number (since u re MI-3, and even u have it)....

Interesting things is:
for u, E works and B does not.....
For me, B works, and E does not .... :)
After getting automated AOR from central office and that after 3 years realizing that you have application still lying there it is an indication of speeding up the process you will be expecting MR soon and us who don't have this new email will wait

P.s: by the way...u re MI-3.....u must have GCMS, not caips..right ?
E is from central office and B is from visa office that's create the possibility of transferring cases to the central office, it's been more than 3 years that my ecase doesn't open with B from LVO but opens with UCI and old file number so it doesn't matter

Listen girls very important " THE CASES ARE BEING DECIDED AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE AFTER THIS NEW SYSTEM STARTED IN MAY 2013" so this is another possibility for this email from CIC
I think nobody is paying attention to me

Nearly a year ago, my ECAS start showing decision made.
As it was before Medical, so I took it as a refusal. However, I sent an email to LVO asking that what does this decision made means.
in Reply, I was told that my file is transfered to GCMS so my file number has been changed to E from B. I was told my E file number by emails and never got any acknowlodegment letter.
My E file number never worked on ECAS. I even sent an email to LVO for this to find out how to check ECAS using E number. I got the replied that they are upgrading the system and very soon, E file number will start working on ECAS.
It is nearly more then a year, and looks like that CIC is still busy in updating the system.

Thanks for sharing this brother

Dear All,

Do you know any single applicant on the full forum any thread who got CAIPS first and at a later stage got GCMS.
If there is a reference then there might be a chance that CAIPS applicants are being upgraded to GCMS otherwise there can be another story…
Any ways if anyone holding GCMS gets the E file number upgrade email then this puzzle will be solved immediately.
Any ways I am so happy that finally we are standing on 12th August to see the BFD Patari outcome….

Once again I request all to share:
1. BFD/Due Date if they got their latest CAIPS/GCMS
2. Date of email for new File number starting with “E”

I will update this to see the trend on master sheet and then we can also count if everyone is getting it or only the people with 18 months UDR

Wassalam,

SMSH

Hmmmm there you go everybody has the answer now so E means nothing so the news on BFD is not the "E" news the news should be different then the E promotion I think SMSH bhai don't make another column in your spreadsheet

I agree with your point and today I visited the ecase and its changed now definition of In-Process according to them is "We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter."
