There is no such special arrangement. All bullish stories to make money

You can go and directly make RPRF dd from the bank

Rejis had made the dd from HSBC and I'm also doing the same

My agent is asking total AED 5500 Landing fee for 2 adults and 3 kids.
He argues that hey have special arrangements with HSBC coz in the past there were some issues with the LOCAL DD for which some files got rejections. Hence they dont wanna take risk so the charge is high in the bank and the cost is passed to the customer...

I have no choice but to agree....so OMR 350 for Medical and AED 5500 for landing fee....

Hi cool,
you will be traveling from INDIA or DXB

I am confused should we travel from India for Mct..
Cost with 5 of individual going to india and then to vancouver will be huge

from Dubai......

I paid SAR 3673.45 for two adults and children have NO RPRF.
Your agent is changing you around 2000 SAR or AED in addition to actual amount.
As someone said, you can directly go to bank as ask for HSBC DD.

As suggested by the experienced campaigners in this forum I surely did receive MR separately with a gap of 2 days. Thanks everyone for all your support. Seems like things have started to move for everyone. InshAllah everyone will get their letters soon.

Kind Regards

Hi Marchie,

Since I had gone through the same phase couple of months ago, I would suggest you the following:

Regarding your medical examination, there are two authorized centers here in Muscat. One is Hatat Polyclinic located near Wadi Adai R/A and the other one is Tahhan Medical Center located near British Council in Madinat Sultan Qaboos. I did my medical from Tahhan Medical Center as Dr.Tahhan gave me an early appointment within a short notice. He was good doctor, but still, I ended up going to Hatat Polyclinic as there was no X-Ray facility available with Tahhan and my overall cost was same as what Hatat offered as a package. My personal suggestion would be to visit Hatat as they have the complete package (OMR 100 for adults and approximately OMR 80 for children if I remember it right).

For the addresses and contact details of DMP,

Regarding the RPRF fee, you can take a DD for CAD $ 980 (in favor of Receiver General for Canada in case of LVO - I'm not sure if it is the same for PVO) from here and give it to your 'representative in UAE' (since they quoted in AED). If you have an account with Bank Muscat or any other local bank, you can make a DD from that bank, payable in Canada. They will deduct the amount including their charges of approximately OMR 5, from your account and will not accept cash payment for the DD. Since the RPRF has to be paid only for the PA and Spouse(assuming that your children are unmarried and under the age of 22), it will be approximately OMR 375 including bank charges. Please check the link below to understand what payment terms applies to Paris Visa Office.

Regarding the air tickets, if you book in advance, you can get return fare to Toronto (I understand you wish to travel to Vancouver) at as low as OMR 385 per head. Last minute rates may go above OMR 1000 too. My friend who holds a PR(his family is in GTA) goes to Toronto every second month from Muscat for 10-15 days at this rate. He uses Airbourne Travel & Tourism services located in Baskin Robins building in Al Khuwair service road, which according to him gives a better deal than some travel websites. If you have a regular travel agent, you may request that agent too to quote their best rates. This will require a bit of planning in advance and these tickets can be rescheduled at a cost. Cancellation of such a bargain price ticket can prove costly. Good luck with your decisions.

Hope it helps.
