Hi,
I would like to share with you all that today I have received a letter from cic regarding my case. They have rejected my case as total points score was 66. They have made a mistake in awarding points clearly.
For adaptability (partner's education) points, they have given me 3 points instead of 4. For graducation, it must be 4 points i think. I am going to send them a reply with cic documents clearly saying that for 14 years/graduate degree, 4 points will be awarded.
If anyone in the past had faced such experience, please share your views.
Any valueable comments will help me a lot.
Thanks,

Though his case was reopened later. But this shows this shows the points calculation was done at the same time.

BA from PU, I was also surprised to read the refusal letter as my points stands on 65 without 4 points of spouse qualifications

Hey, I applied on Sunday 13th May, nothing as of yet, will update you all with the outcome :)

I hope 6-12 months letter holders are safe as there is slot of mess going on with the pre June applicants...

they have started processing my app from 7th may...got the positive eligibility review complete letter today which is more commonly known as 6-12 months letter on this forum..:)

The rationale behind this letter is this.

1- they are clearing the backlog and cant let all people with positive reviews into Canada in a short time.

2- so they are doing the intial reviews and once they have done this for all M1 applicants..they will cacluate the work at hand with visa quotas they have and proceed accordingly with a new operational plan..

Dear all
I agree with haral.
• They have about 160,000 applicant including M1,2,and 3 lets say another 20,000 pre 2008 so total about 180,000 out of those they have and are rejecting about 50% ( political reason manly) so that will leave them with 90,000 visa to work with.
• The quota for this year is about 80,000 so most of us will see the light this year and very few will see it before June 2013 I have seen a report for CIC somewhere don’t ask me for the link as I forget where did I got it from. The report says “that they can clear all 160,000 before June 2013”.
• Background is the most time consuming process and I think that is the only reason why they have divided us into two groups once they get done with all processed applicant before middle of March then our turn will be soon after say July of this year. And as you could see that most of them have got Medical and few still are waiting and I think when all get their medical then our turn will start.
Good luck and best wishes.

I am also in the same group "In process" status end of April 2012 followed by 6-12 months letter.

Hi. Good info, just one thing the estimate of 20,000 is out dated. See the following note from cic

"Until the FSW proposal is enacted and comes into force, local managers are to continue with the processing of FSW applications, including FSW applications made prior to February 27, 2008, whether a selection decision has been rendered or not prior to March 29, 2012. This means that processing of all cohorts of FSW cases should continue"
