Dear Mubassir Ali
Here are soem details one valuable forum member sent it to me when i was requested for my medical. It helped me a lot. Hope this info helps you too.
Steps:
1- After paying fee at medical test centre, we were allotted tokens for medical exams.
2- we had Chest Xray done for both of us (only adults).
3- Then we had nurse-based tests (Blood sample taken, eye site checked, weight noted, height noted and urine sample collected, Blood pressure and pulse noted).
4- Called by doctor (Female doctor for female and male doctor for male)
DETAILS :
At step two above, they check for: TB or Heart size abnormality on Xray.
At step three they check:
From Blood they can check in Lab >>>>
a- Diabetes
b-any long standing infection
c- Hepatitis
d- HIV (AIDS)
e- Liver function tests (though I am not sue)
From Urine they check in Lab >>>
a- Diabetes
b- Kidney Function test (though I am not sure)
From Height , they guess >>>>
Normal growth height range
From Weight, they guess >>>>
Normal growth weight range
From Eye Site >>>>
Normal eye site ( does not matter if you have weak eye site )
From Blood pressure and Pulse >>>>
they check for heart and circulation abnormality.
At step four above ,
First doctor asks history of any past illnesses, any major operations, jaundice etc. Here doctor rules out if candidate has no long standing illness. Major operations are usually not an issue in females (liek C sections)
Secondly, doctor does physical checkup. In physical examination, they usually touch, check and feel any swellings or abnormal growths or hernia in abdominal region. They also check any signs of past operations like scar marks of stitches. They also use stethoscope to check to put on chest for heart and chest sounds.
After step four, they send us back home. Sometimes, in case of any additional examinations they callback within next three days. (if they dont call back, it indirectly means you are clear in medical exam)
Best of luck again!
