Alhamdulillah, today I received my passports back from LVO with visas and COPR and forms for children vaccination record which I should get signed by my children dnoctor as a proof of vaccination. The visas were issued on 30 July 2013 by LVO and they had sent passports to Canadian Embassy in Riyadh. A lady from Canadian Embassy in Riyadh called me in the afternoon and told me she's going to ship passports today via aramex and gave me the tracking number. As tomorrow is the Eid day so I feared the courier will deliver my passports after Eid vacation. I went to aramex warehouse in Riyadh (Exit 16 Sulai) and got my passports just in time
It has been a long and tiring journey to some extent. It took me 3 years and 7 months to reach there.
I want to thank all the members of this forum as I owe a great debt of gratitude for all the help and support provided by all. Special thanks to SMSH and jimmypage for keeping the spirit alive all along the way.
I will keep you posted on further developments.I am planning to leave for Canada in Oct last week. I will spend two weeks in London before flying onward to Ottawa. InshaAllah all of you will proceed to the next stage very soon.

It means we should expect Visa by mid of 2014 sometime! insha Allah
and that is only possible if they don't change it further....and start MR in August/Sep/Oct...

Hi, being a silent follower, was hoping to get some movement on my application after 12th august(my BFD) but today received an automated email from LVO mentioning the same file no change as received by Arsh brother and some others. Losing my hope to receive something else on my BFD. Will again apply for Caips/GCMS next week. Anyway, A very happy Eid Mubarak to everyone.

The chances look bleak after MI-4, 5000 applications means 20000 visas, only 30000 left for MI-2 and 3 forget about MI-1 two more years to clear MI-1

F comes after E next year they will send another email on BFD saying its changed to F

GOD knows what is going on, so if there no MR by 1st Sep then I expect one SMS/PM please !!!! from Pakistan

Not necessarily but it's very disappointing that every quarter the processing time increases by 6 months now its almost there to pre MI timeline

How r u doing??? as i said earlier too, my previous file no. was also started from B and it was changed to E in Feb 2013.
i have applied for caips. and still approximately 10 days left for the response. what do u think, what does it imply....any idea????

It means nothing for the applicants for them may be as far as work is concern

Got my new file number via email. I guess everyone will get it...I think they must ve put a BFD of some future date now...so relax boys, we (club 18) r not getting MR in AUG 2013 (as I had said earlier)

They have issued you MR at the time they were issuing the file number, the MR had arrived at the mailing centre.and will be send to you shortly watch, the file number is being changed for the people whose BFD's are around the corner because these applicants have almost the same timeline keep checking your email stay by the computer and don't go to relatives or movies in this Eid.
I think SMSH prediction was right and I have solved the mystery of changing file numbers

file number and application number are the same thing.....even in e-cas drop down box.....(These emails r change in file number/application number from B****** to E*****)....basically, files r being shifted from caips (old system) to gcms (new system)....hence the new (Electronic) E-file number......

As far as UCI is concerned, its a separate thing and is same since start...

One interesting thing I noted: the email I got is from "client-update-mise-a-jour @ cic.gc.ca......this sounds like a very FRENCH email address hmmmm....

Another weird thing...this new E****** file number , I cannot access my ecase with it....
