Hi Seniors,
I have a query, my visa in UK is going to expire soon and I need to send my passport to UKBA for extension and it may take upto 4 to 5 months to be returned. During that time, if I receive medical, can I go for medical without passport or I need to make any arrangements before I post my passport to UKBA?

Dear RUPS,
I am also in the same scenario as yours. My visa is going to expire next month and am planning to extend my visa from UKBA through premium service so that I could have my passport with me at all times. I don't want to take the risk of losing my passport in the UKBA warehouse as my medical request along with updated docs request can come at any time. Hope this might help you, choice is yours. yes i got that in march
i received update document request in 9 th oct also MR
i did my medical and LVO received it on 23rd of NOV

Dear how w'd you confirm LVO recieved medical ,medical line appeared or by any otherway? I asked IOM for confirmation they replied that they have access to NDVO and that's only tracking number no further assistance they can provide.
I need to confirm the delivery of medical at LVO ,All the respected members are requested to input in this matter

Brother for a family of four members we had to show 20, 600 CAD (Almost, 2100000 Rs), same as u. Now, where are u investing, like in my case i was investing in "Mutual Funds" that are "money based instruments", hence have been accepted. As per current trend, they are asking for updated POF for most of applicants, suggest you to be on safer side & manage required amount in your account.

Once again have an exciting news to share with u. Just received "Medical Instructions" through email for my self & family. Just to remind u guys, i already received (paper) medicals (Except my Newborn) on Oct 24. Sent updated docs & POF with inclusion of newborn, received by VO LDN on Nov 08th.

On Nov 27th, sent a CSI regarding updation of my status that have resulted in subject "Medical Instructions". Subject mail has been immediately followed by another email, my initial impression was that it's a repetition but in 2nd mail they have also requested to submit "RPRF".

Most important thing for all those who are waiting for updated docs request. Remember, discussion regarding "Schedule A Form" personal history for Past 10 years or since 18th birthday whichever is "most recent". Jimmy & Cock n bull have proven to be right. I just submitted history for past 10 years & it was not enough. With this email they have also sent a format to log my personal history uptill 18th birthday.

Another point of interest or discussion is POF. In my case i submitted my 18th months statement of "Investment in Mutual Funds". Have been investing in "mutual funds" mainly because of Tax benefit (Rebate). Along, with it i also attached my Bank statement for past 18th months (but it was only like 125000 Rs). Lastly, i also took a print out of my "Wealth Tax Statement for Tax year 2011-12" from FBR website to support my investment as "officially Declared".....


Lastly, Good luck Everyone & stay positive. Goodnews are on the WAY...............

Oh ya

P.S: (Especially for my Fav Jimmy bhai).......VO has instructed me to discard our previous medical forms & given 30 days to submit Meds...

When you recieved MR on 24 th Oct ,what you did? ,You didn't do it ! If you did medical of whole family then this MR is only for newborn or all family?

Yes, previously we deferred our meds as was advised by visa office. Hence. recently have received meds for entire family again including newborn.

Visa office has further advised to discard previous meds.
