What I noticed last time when I attended one job fair in downtown toronto is that, there are really NO JOBS AT ALL only the advertisements for the products, companies, and colleges.

Some government funded settlement agencies were also there just to collect information from you so that they can send it to government and get the money.

The only jobs available were- forklift operators, truck drivers, Security Guards and cleaners, that too you have to take training from them. When you see the free magazines available roadside such as "Job", or Help Wanted" you will see many advertisements for jobs only that I have mentioned above.

In fair, I was looking for some engineering or atleast some decent job but there was none. Many people who visited there told me the same thing.

Hope someone has different experience, please share.

IT technology event no security job there ? ?? Engineering, engineering job, go to your specific job related job fairs and events only not in general. What means decent Job? Job is job and all jobs are decent in Canada all profession are equally respected. same respect for doctor, lawyers and same respect for cleaners and worker. What you are talking decent job?
