Ottawa.. my file was sent to London Visa Office.. but they sent it back to Ottawa in march 2017 workload redistribution
That could be good sign since ottawa processes files much faster than LVO in general.do u have relatives or acquaintances in Canada .if u do it’s always more effective for them to send an email to an MP on your behalf.

I am so sorry to hear that. there must be cases like you in this forum.
let's stay positive - as much as we can!
I’m in similar situation, outlander, aor 6 Dec ‘16, medicals extended until coming August

Did you find out this in GCMS notes? About workload redistribution? What is your AOR?
Yes it was in my GCMS notes. AOR 23rd Dec, 2016

No it is not positive sign because my file was transferred to Ottawa back in march 2017 so they are the ones who decided to put me in SS.
No relative in canada but a very good friend of mine is moving there and he told me he will meet his cousin(immigration lawyer) and will see if anything can be done.

I have seen that applicants generally received two kinds of email from LVO when they asked about there current stage of application.

1. We confirm background checks are still currently in process for your application. Please be advised that there are various checks that a file may need to undergo during the application process.

2. Please be advised that your application is awaiting final review in our London office.

@BillHyatt can you kindly give your valuable insight about the above two different kind of emails. what they mean by that?

Seriously?? My file went to Ip2 after 16 months, does that mean security screening only started after 16 months?
The only way to find out if you are under SS is GCMS notes. If your file went to IP2 after 16 months this can also mean that they are doing final review of your application before issuing you PPR. My friend's application went to ip2 after 11 months and he got PPR soon after that.
Best of luck

I have ordered GCMS notes since 15th Dec 2016 (Via my agent) but we didn't receive them until now :(

If they have recently asked you to redo medical then they are about to approve your file and you have done with security checks.

Are you sure your agent applied for the GCMS notes? Because i order my every 2 months and get them exactly after 29 days. In some cases it can take upto 2 months but waiting since 3 months is not usual infact i never heard anyone waiting that long to get their notes. Double check with your agent or reapply yourself.
And if you were asked to redo medicals then your PPR is around the corner. Best of luck

I hope so, the last correspondence from VO said application is in final stage of processing - that was in jan 2018
That is good news. Your background check is completed. They are about to finalize your application. Any day now.

At this stage you don't really need GCMS notes. If you feel they are taking too long to finalize, you can send them a CSE/query.
