could you please let me know what extensions you dialed to talk to an agent? Whenever I try I hear the line are busy and I should try later
i called CIC back in july and september but they did not give me much information. the only information they gave me is that it will go beyond normal processing time and there is upcoming review on your file by the officer but did not tell me when. if you try calling them and get a convincing answer please guide me as well on what specific information you asked for and what they told you.

Contacted cpc Ottawa and been told that my file requires additional verification. 10 months already completed and don't know when I it is going to complete?....

Did some research on the forum. it looks like after medical expires, CIC usually extends medical for inlanders but requests a redo for outlanders. just want to share this for us whose medicals are gonna expire soon.

I am outland applicant and medical expired on 22nd nov but i did not receive request to redo medical yet. Do you know if it has anything to do with finalising application?

I have no idea.
Maybe try calling cic to ask whether you need a redo?

Just talked to an agent on the phone, she was nice enough to tell me everything like Eligibility, Security, Medical are all passed except Criminality. She said there’s nothing they can do right now because that part is done by another agency (I assume that’s cbsa etc). She said my file was last touched by an officer in Dec. And I should call them again if I don’t get a reply by early Feb so ottawa can leave a note to get the report.

So confused right now...I thought criminality is done when r10 is done...and from what I read from the forum security should be the last part.

So am I just under a normal sercurity check or am I in security screening?

well, you said your security check is passed, so it won't matter much if it was a normal one or extensive one, I suppose.
Hope you hear progress very soon.

HOw come Security passed sans criminality??

Doesn’t add up IMO

My medicals in my profile now say
"Review of medical results: If you need a medical exam, a message with instructions will be sent to you."

Even though my medicals should not be yet expired (did them march 20, 2017) does this normally happen?
Guys guys, my medicals just flipped back now to medicals passed, what does that mean? D:

I was surprised when she said security passed but not criminality. She even explained to me criminality is the part where CBSA do their work and it may take up to 6 months to a year...

From my understand I only passed eligibility before xmas so I guess what she really meant was security check...

ahh, it's beyond my understanding. I thought criminality takes shorter time while security takes up to 6 months to a year....
