Yes .. CIC reviews your medical result 3 months before expiry. Guess your process is going to be beyond 1 year of medical and they have decided to not extend it. Once they are ready with result (i.e. PPR), they will contact you for re-medical.

Completed almost 400 days since AOR and 250 days of SS / IP2. Still no sign of PPR.

That happened with me last August and they extended it until next August
Expiry was end of last November

To be clear, they extended it, you didn't need to repeat the medical right?

Yes extended without visiting a clinic

I don’t know about screening since I never ordered notes, they only say my application needs additional verifications and is being processed as expeditiously as possible... whatever that is

I'm in the same boat (my medical was done march 8, 2017). My medical status is still passed. When did you see your status change to "Review of medical results: If you need a medical exam, a message with instructions will be sent to you."?
Hope we both could get extensions.
