186 days! Finally I received the golden email!

Here is my timeline (2 applicants):
ITA 1/11/2017
AOR 3/5/2017
Medical Pass 3/25/2017
PPR & IP2 9/7/2017

After my medical passed, no updates, no additional materials requested, no nothing for near 5 months. My background check status never changed to N/A or IP1, it was always showing next step is to check your background.
I ordered 3 set of notes and they all showing the same, case analyst recommend to finalize my application on 5/2/2017.

So don't ever lose hope guys! your golden emails might be on the way!

I still find it confusing they extended my medicals 3 months in advance! Does it mean I shouldn't expect to hear anything within those 3 months?

well. this is where gcms notes come into play. since you are so oppossed to the idea of ordering them, you better call ircc to try getting info regarding your app.

are you inland or outland. our medicals are also about to expire in dec. hope they do renew. i am an outland and my impression is that outlanders med renewal is not so common.

Outland, what I noticed on the mycic is the status changed to "action required " with no instructions, so I called and they informed me about medical renewal, they didn't give any more info though as if this is common practice that happens routinely or not

thats great. at least they were kind enough to save you a few bucks. my impression for a long time was that only inlands get a free renewal of med.

Nope, my medicals will be expired next year in Jan..

got my gcms notes. I am under Security Screening. And one of those extremely unlucky people for whom they started SS after 7 months.
My time line. total Time until now - 16 Months, CIC Stage - 9.5 Months
Sinp Aor- May 2016
Sinp nomination - 31 August 2016
CIC Aor - 28 Nov. 2016
Medical Pass - 1 December 2016
Eligibility pass by CIO and File transferred to London - 15 December 2016
For 6.5 months no body opened or touched my file
London rechecked Eligibility and Passed - 27 June 2016
BG IP - 27 June 2017.
Security Screening Start : 27 June 2017

Is there some information on which BG IPs are CSIS and CBSA working?

I mean I see for FBI checks, people can see which months are being processed now. Do we have some similar information on CIC BG checks as well?

You know I think they are involved....It's just that they won't say it when You or I call them because we are not their direct clients.
