Security Scr. date start date (according to GCMS notes) (to be completed only if confirmed by GCMS notes)
Days from Security Scr. to PPR

Just received a GCMS note, generated on August 21st. It has been confirmed that i am in the 'PNP Secure Outstanding group'. However, the weird thing is that the date in which i was assigned to the group is 2016-07-29. I am a Dec-18-2016 applicant. Do you think the officers are that much careless and messed it up or it is just a typo??

My file was never touched fro aor date 6 Dec until 1st of May

So today I logged in my CIC account and saw my application was updated. I clicked the details but didn't see any updates.
It's exactly 4 months since my Security Screening started.
I was wondering - maybe this ghost update means my medicals were prolonged? Anyone here got the same update?

Same here. My security check is already 4 months. But there's no followup email after I saw " updated" in my file.

Maybe it's when this group was created in the first place? My group is 2-L7QTRYG

I had the same group in my notes, But I got another set of notes after getting ppr nd that group turned blank. So basically if u have that group that means u r among the few unlucky ones nd be prepared to wait atleast a year from aor.

I called CBSA today. The agent who I was talking with told me that CBSA is not involved in security screening. They are the enforcement organization. They do not conduct security screening. She recommended me to contact with IRCC for a status update. I said I already contacted IRCC multiple times and every time I was told that CBSA is conducting a security check. Then the agent told me: "Sir, CBSA is not involved in this matter. I cannot provide you an information which I do not have!". She was very convincing.

Also an immigration lawyer who is a friend of one of my friends called for me CBSA (the same number) and asked the same just in order to be absolutely sure, and he received the same answer. This is important because this info is a game-changer. What is happening right now with our files if CBSA is not involved? Moreover, why IRCC provides non-accurate information to its clients? Something is wrong and it is our interest to find it out.

186 days! Finally I received the golden email!

Here is my timeline (2 applicants CEC inland):
ITA 1/11/2017
AOR 3/5/2017
Medical Pass 3/25/2017
PPR & IP2 9/7/2017

After my medical passed, no updates, no additional materials requested, no nothing for near 5 months. My background check status never changed to N/A or IP1, it was always showing next step is to check your background.
I ordered 3 set of notes and they all showing the same, case analyst recommend to finalize my application on 5/2/2017.

So don't ever lose hope guys! your golden emails might be on the way!
