PPR in 2-4 weeks.

I called that number yesterday, using skype, I managed to get through to the agent after holding for 15min. He couldn't say anything as my file is in the visa office, and he gave me the contact details of the visa office(which are on the IRCC website anyway). I submitted a cse webform a few days ago, directed to visa office. We'll see, but it takes them about a month to answer.

My medicals were extended, although I am still well below the 6-month timeline. My gcms showed it was sent to the Medical officer and it was extended for a year. It expired April 2017 and it has been extended till April 2018. It took a day for the request to be granted according to my GCMS NOTES. The medical officer said there was no reason to believe anything had changed within that time to warrant another medical.

Thank You. I think the medical extension issue was triggered last sunday because the status on the cic account changed to " if medical is needed, we will send a message". Hopefully by next week meds will be extended and it goes for final review.

Yeah. Mine changed too and I raised a CSE requesting for an extension. I don't know if that played any role though.

In the meantime, I called CIC and after keeping me on wait for 20 min for some verification on my application, the agents response was "Aaah your application looks good. Everything is cleared. Final review is done. It is at Ottawa office. You will have to send your passport to Abu Dhabi VO. You are still in regulatory timeline. So you may have to wait for 2 weeks or 2 months you never know". The call was made on 21st June.

Can someone suggest what should i expect next and when based on other similar experiences? Thanks in advance.

Happened with a guy in this thread. They sent the request after 3 weeks. 2 months is the worst case scenario.

Follow the options and call more than once, usually there are loads of calls.
If your VO is outside canada, they might not give you answer.

That's the challenge we are facing. My VO is London and they are very slow .

So, nearly reaching my 6 month mark now, within 3 weeks. My AOR is February 1, 2017. So, it seems like this is the group that I should now be looking to join....

My background check went into IP2 on the 3rd of June.

I sent an email in mid-June to Ottawa and received the following reply:
Your file is currently under review at the VO and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times. Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

They requested a Schedule A from me afterwards, which I sent almost immediately. That was around 20 days ago. No updates since.

Has anyone else received similar messages? Have I been selected for the Security Screening? If so, any idea how long that should take?
