Did you apply in non-Express Entry?
I applied before Jan 2015 (non-Express Entry) and after 22 months, I received my Visa.

I was in EE. It is probably one of the very few delayed cases.

I am june 16 AOR .. Rprf paid on request in september.
Got request for re meds on 12 april.. i went for the meds on 17 and 25 april i got status update for medical passed. Can i hope for ppr soon

I called CIC a day before bg check still in progress. am not sure if new med is gonna be a positive update.

Actually what happens is that, after medicals, they do some background checks, which takes some time. Secondly, and in fact more importantly, a lot of files are piled up, which delays the procedure immensely. But don't worry, it would be just a delay

In my case, it was more than four months from my medicals to PPR. But, it can vary, depending on many files are already there above your file.

No no! Not second medical. I only had one medical. The visa's validity is one year from the date of medical.

Oh ok.. but this is my second. As my first gonna expire in few days.. thats y i was asking.. coz i have seen some cases finalising after second medical

Yes me too. In fact, one of my friends had his 2nd medical, and after a month or so, he was issued PPR.

Even a month seems good man.. when u have been waiting for nearly 11 months ☺
