So SGVO can issue PPRs on Mondays, but CPC-Ottawa usually issues PPRs on Tuesdays and Fridays. Right?

Hi guys,

New here, and I am happy the forum is so helpful and welcoming. I am now living in BC, and applied since August 2016. The last mile always feel like forever.... and it does.
here is my status

email request for submitting passport 2/3
sent photocopy to Ottawa on 2/6
Ottawa office received on 2/8
MYCIC status changed to "approved" 2/14
still waiting...

and... my mail tracker has no sign since that. My colleague who submitted passport 1 week later than me has received his document 3/10.
Has anyone encounter this? the status changed to approved but you never hear a word after? it's 3 weeks now, is there something gone wrong? where can I inquire about my situation? or I can only wait 5 weeks and fill out an inquiry form like CIC website says?

another question is my work permit expires on 4/7, what should I do if I haven't received the approval PR document?

I received an email that I have a new msg in mycic so I logged in and found the request letter for pp. Don't worry you will be getting soon I guess...they are working with Feb 2016 files probably!!!

Muslim Lebanese here waiting since July 1st 2016. Not playing the Muslim card, but a vast majority of Arab muslims are getting their PPR's delayed due to additional security screening. Other people are getting delayed due to this as well, but that's mostly due to suspicious past (military experience, similar name, suspicious travel history.) whereas I had none of that (this is also the case with several of my friends.) in mostly silent on this thread and not complaining, and I honestly don't think this adds up to islamophobia, I'm just stating the fact that if you're a Muslim/Arab it's probably going to hurt your chances of getting your PPR in the states 6 month time frame, most likely to extensive background check.

I'm in process for 19 months. Coming from Western European Country. But guess what, there all all kinds of red flags that can raise CIC eyebrows such as travel, criminal history, military and government positions. Caucasian and Christian. So don't worry it's nothing personal based on your religion.

Hello guys!

March 27 its going to be 9 months for me. Although I've been in military back home so maybe that's the reason that is taking too long.
Any of you got military background?

Let's hope we get something by the end of march.
