I emailed Ottawa yesterday and raised a CSE at the same time. I have received a reply today. It says: "Please be advised that your case is in queue for final review and instructions will be sent shortly."

What is your idea?! Should I be waiting for PPR these days? :

CSE means case specific Enquiry,It seems CIC implemented a mean to notify them about your specific delayed applications via their site:

I applied for CBSA case file through ATIP and got a response that it takes 30 days to process (on average), and that they only send paper files in mail, no email. So I am not expecting this prior to end of January.
My request (third one!) to CSIS for the status of my case has finally been received. I've sent it through registered mail this time. Let's see when and if they respond. So fed up with the whole thing. Starting to believe that they might be trying to find a reason to reject me based on security inadmissibility.
Should have gone with Australia instead. Stupid me. What a waste of time this Canadian PR application has been...

have you tried applying for CSIS through ATIP since it is already one of the selection? if not, why not to do so?

I followed the instructions from their website, just like a number of people on here who received a reply. If my mail does not work then I might try ATIP.

It looks like you will only receive respond from CSIS when the BG get finished.

What makes you say that? Others received response even if their background check was still ongoing.

Just assuming.
I have not heard of any who received a reply from CSIS indicates that their BG is still ongoing.

No! because I sent CSIS two inquires about my security check and they responded to both of them. In the first letter CSIS mentioned that my security check was still ongoing, but in the second one I was told that the check had been completed and the report had been submitted to IRCC.

Hi Everyone, I found this thread and wanted to share my information/some timeline.

26th Oct 2016, Called CIC expected PR by end of nov (6 month timeline ended)

26th Nov 2016 Called CIC, status everything passed only security check left

6th Dec 2016, I should hear from cic if they need anything, expect something to be asked / requested / informed from today to end of this month (very generic answer)

@adtocanada no ppr :'(. security check is the only remaining as per cic call centre (checked today on 21st Dec). I believe every one is on vacations, and I think ppr news would come next year. No ppr gift :'(

Same here called them today and they told me that security check is left! Hope early next year we get ppr
