Almost everyone here is in same situation. Mine is getting expired in August. I have sent an email to extend for which i haven't got any reply yet. I hope we dont need any extension and we get PPR soon

But how can you make such a huge life move, landing etc. within one month? Isn't it better to anyway ask for extension? Our medicals is expiring in November and we are already thinking about asking for extension whether we get PPR soon or not. I hope they will understand and extend.

According to my own experience, if you don't have any issue on previous ME, probably they will extend your ME for 1 more year.
So, you might get ghost mail from CIC, and in your Mycic ME would change from passed to no need at this time.
And change back to passed after couple days.
But, you could get your application approved before that!!

Hi Tempa ...My medicals are expiring in Aug second week so I applied for medical extension through mail ...no response from CIC ...but just checked that my Medical Status in MYCIC is changed from " Passed" to "Not needed at this time" ...so going by your logic they must be extending my medicals however the Bad news is that " BG Check is still in Progress " and extension means CIC do not see it happening in near future ....confused feeling of Happiness concocted with Sadness ...remembering the pink floyd song "I have become Comfortably NUMB " ??? : :-[ :-\ :'(

That is surely frustrated... I got my bowp today and last week i got my AINP now sending them email for my medical extension , i really wish we all just get ours ppr soon...

Hi taekwondo,
I didn't ask for medical extension, CIC did it for me.
Since your medical status changed in Mycic, I think they are processing it.
Back Ground/ Security Check takes time, and it's really hard to predict. Wish you will pass soon!
