I am an Egyptian pharmacist that's currently residing and working in Bahrain. I was wondering if someone could advice me as I am quite concerned with the processing of my PR card. I have applied through the Federal Skilled Workers Immigration program.

My timeline is as follows:
Date on which I received my ITA: 26th of November 2015
Date on which I finalized and uploaded my documents and received my AOR: 9th of January 2016
Date on which I passed my medical tests: 17th of January 2016
Date on which I was asked to sign and upload a "Schedule A Declaration Background" and then I uploaded it on the same day: 18th of January 206
Date on which the CIC said that they had started on my "Background check: 24th of February 2016

And ever since then, I have not heard of or seen a single update? Should I be concerned or do I just have to wait? What's the average time for processing the PR? I await everyone's feedback. Thank you!

Congratulations. Your PPR is in the corner. Can you please update us with your AOR date, category and Visa office so that I can update the waiting list?

Hello guys - please suggest if we can ask status from New Delhi visa office as I know that my file is with them for verification.

@ RSS2015 you can send Case Specific Enquiry to NDVO via the CIC website. In my case they responded via email after one month stating that my BG is in progress and they cannot indicate any timeline for completion of the same.

I could not sit idle any longer, so the other day I sent a request to CSIS asking for the status of my file. From what I could understand from their website, it's just a short one-line response, rather than a whole GCMS-style information. But let's see if I ever hear back from them. Apparently it takes 8 weeks to get a response, and it only comes in regular mail. Fingers crossed.

I got an update e-mail from CIC last Thursday ( 23rd June 9.00 AM India Time) ....nothing was there in the account ...got very excited ..thought Indian Embassy must have submitted my BG Report ..and I'll get PPR soon ...nothing till happened after that ..so I called CIC on Tuesday ..eagerly praying to hear those magical words ( Your app is approved ..we will send it soon ..bla bla bla ) ....nothing concrete ..got a very friendly agent ..she was shocked to hear that my application has crossed 10 Months as most of the app are done by 6 months and told me that it must be very painful for me to wait when all applications are getting PPR ...then she opened my file and told me " I AM SO SORRY ...WE HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED YOUR BG REPORT AND YOU HAVE TO WAIT MORE ..THERE IS NO MAX TIME LIMIT ..BUT ITS GONNA TAKE SOME TIME ...SO BE PATIENT AND DONT LOOSE HOPE "

Cant help myself laughing and finally thanking that agent for the valuable piece of advice and great information on my case :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

They claim a 6 month timeline and act all shocked if your application has crossed well beyond, but still take forever!

@Tocanadawego I also saw this option on CSIS website, can you please share whether you sent the paper application or fax to CSIS and are you inside Canada.
