I really think people who are waiting for their AOR for less than 6 months should be banned on this thread. It is just like they are trying to glorify their problems. Brother, by saying you are upset and unhappy and tensed because you have not heard anything for 5 months. I think you should really spare a thought for people waiting for over a year on this thread. STOP TRYING TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL MISERABLE FOR NO REASON. You very well know the average processing time is 6 months and you have not even reached it yet. So what on earth is bothering you? Go cry on some other thread. Someone who is feeling bad for not hearing from CIC 3 months after their application might join you in feeling miserable. Goodluck

hahah it jsut made me laugh... but good advice.... ppl below 6 months theres nothing to worry...

its for ppl who crossed 6 months who have to worry

Dear Friends,

Thanks for all your help.
MY AOR was 15th December, by God's grace got PPR!!!!!!!!!!!! today. file was transferred to NDVO in March this year
So Happy and I pray for you guys who are still waiting.

After 13.5 months, I spoke to the CIC call center agent today and she told me my BG check is still in progress. She told me I will likely hear back the results in the second half of July though. Does anyone know whether agents' estimates are accurate or do they even have access to the timelines? I'm asking because every time I phoned the call center before they told me file is in progress and they don't have any estimate and I have a feeling this agent was just being nice.

Yeah, one agent told me "you'll hear something in a couple of weeks". Well it's been almost two months since then, no news.

I really do hope, mokachino, that you hear something very very soon.

Hi.

I applied for EE ( FSW- inland ) on March 3rd 2016, and received a letter to upload my Celpip on March 21, which was provided on the next day.
I know I should wait more , but based on your experience, how long does it take on average? is "6 month" what CIC says on their website, a trustable estimate? or is it going to be longer? had anybody received it in a shorter time?

Thanks

PS. this is how my profile looks like these days:

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not needed at this time
Final decision Not Started

Why are you here? Can you move your conversation to a different thread? This one has nothing to do with you.

Hello Guys,
I am gonna pass the 6 months mark soon, my question is, have you seen any case where the delay came because a late submission of FBI PCC? My Aor is 14/1 but it took me two month to submit the FBI PCC. this is the only reason i can think as why my application is delayed? What are other common reasons? Thank you

I think 95% of those who have crossed 6 months are stuck in security and rest may be delayed docs or some other issues. There are many factors for delay but most common is bad luck

We should probably compare officers working our cases in case there is a pattern ...

Btw, I am sending email to immigration minister on 4th and to immigration committee of parliament 2 weeks later. If other people create noise, that will better our chances of bEing heard somewhere. So if you are waiting with no end in sight, please write a polite letter to Canadian officials.

There are some things that can improve process, for example statistics on the applications beyond 6 months, longest waiting applicants, mandatory review of old cases beyond certain time, etc. The officers working these cases frankly don't care and our problems will not be heard unless we voice them.
