Well... It's official... 6 months 1 day :(

6 months and 6 days for me......One more in this group...
I wish they prioritize the applications which exceeded six months...

FSW-Inland
APPLICATION SUBMITTED: October 1st, 2015
AOR: October 1st, 2015
MEDICAL: October 9th, 2015
Ghost Email: March 2nd, 2016
GCMS: April 29th => Security Screening

I called CIC twice. First time, I was told that my application is under BG check.
Second time, I was told that they cannot provide me with any info until September 2016

To me, it looks like that they just randomly (they call it random, but it depends where you are from!!!) put applications on hold and do BG check!

I got the same issue 2 years ago, when I wanted to renew my visa. The average processing time was 8 weeks, but my application took 13-15 weeks (without any additional document request) until it got approved!

Agreed. 7 months in 3 days. Life on hold. Frustration.

Not only that, when people call them to inquire they are acting in weird manner by telling them to call back after 5 months..!!

I wonder if this is the typical way of the government's service, then how it's going to be while u live there?!
