Just called CIC they said my medicals were changed from 'passed' to 'not started' cuz they need a medical re-assessment! So annoying.

this is just stupid. I paid almost 1500 cad for our medical, if they request us to do them again I dont know what I will do. My medical expires in May.

How can they ask this? even if the medical is expired, all of our other documents are expired by now, PCC for example., I had to get 4 of them.. I don't know who works at CIC, but I am getting increasingly agitated by them and the way they run their business

your medical is only valid for 1 year. rest of the docs are locked at the day you submit.
mine will expire within 1 week. therefore, I will have to do it again... :(

Tempa, did they request for you to do it again? They usually send you a letter.

They are requesting me to do another and it has not even been a year which is even more ridiculous. I am a healthy person in their 20s...how much could have my health changed in less than a year.

Yelena, I agree with you, this is so unnecessary. I have no choice to do it now, I just hope this is the last of it!!!

I dont see the logic behind this. You need to land before your medical expires ( or you passport does ), so if they issue PPR to someone that alreday has their medical expired, perhaps they are worried somone might show up the border without the new medical. This might be easier and safer way for them. I hope this means you will recieve your PPR as soon as you redo your medical.

I didn't receive any email regarding about medical exam.
maybe you guys are close to finalize and they need you to do it again..
and they want more check on me...lol

The person at the clinic I went to said that a re-assessment usually only entails the chest x-ray and no blood work. Call ahead and confirm at your clinic whether you are required to do the entire test over again. Probably not.

Hi Elena & All,

I got my GCMS notes last week. As follows:

ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation:
Other Reqs:
Final:

I have doubt regarding security nothing is mentioned. I do not understand what is the difference between Criminality and Security. It's really strange from ADVO that they requested Schedule 4 which was submitted along with my application. Also, it was clear that they received this in GCMS notes.

I submitted this form last monday. So, far no information yet.

According to my GCMS notes, all three elements were passed in 25 Nov 2015.

MY AOR 20 July 2015.

I have just passes the 9-month mark with no updates :( (med: passed, eglibility & BG check: in progress).

I have called the CIC a couple of times and I got an email indicating that my application is complete and is being processed and they can't confirm how much longer it will take.

I learned about GCMS notes from this forum today. Can anyone comment whether it will be of any use? Will I get any more information about my case other than what's on my cic?
