I submitted on Aug 22 and got AOR same day. Today, I got the first update, BG in progress. But medicals are still 'not needed'. What does this mean? I had ecas access, but I no longer have it.

Everything is ok. BG check in progress is good sign. You will get your PR, don't panic.

P.S. e-CAS is a very old system, plenty of bugs there. Right now a lot of people expiring issues with it.

I think most of the people here are inland, because a very high percentage of the people who are applying are inland . never the less, I suspect racism has something to do with it .

Doubt it. I think it's because of the new system/software. Almost everyone experienced a lot of issues when they were completing their profiles. And this is just front-end, the easiest part. Imagine what is happening on a back-end part? I assume officers don't get notifications about our cases.

I have been waiting since , April 24th , no updates, e-cas was available till june or july then I lost access to e-cas. I've tried evrything that anyone here tried, Called CIC, Met MP , Made my Lawyer call them, send them e-mails, I ordered CGMC notes , the only thing I haven't tried is go to Sydney NS my self and demand justice lol

it's absurd , and unfair the treatment we are getting, some people , if you look in the june or may threads are getting PR in 4 or 5 months !!!!

there is nothing we can do! Just wait wait and wait, maybe for a year maybe a bit more , who knows!!! No one

That's really sad. After the 6 months still nothing they can do?

Actually, I received an auto-reply this time. But it doesn't mean anything. CIC have troubles with all their web sites now (including CSE form). So maybe try to call CIC at the end of this week (hope they will fix everything) and ask about your problem.

No other msg. ECAS web site down, I do not have access since last month.

The website says:
"Call centre
You can contact CIC through the following options if you have submitted an application from within Canada or online"

Since you applied online, you should be able to contact them. However it's a toll-free number so international calls are usually blocked (to avoid paying international rates). Dialing through something like Skype might work.

As far as i know, it will not allow you to connect, unless you call from inside canada.

Skype never worked for me either outside of canada.
