Guys my security check is finally completed last week on Thursday but last medical is left so officer is reviewing my previous medical results and they are discussing to give me extension as my medical was expired on May this year.
I hope they will give me extension as I am already in Canada.

It means nothing. just a generic reply. I got that too when I sent an email just before I reached six months.

But you have a long wait, right? So probably they send this email to those who is going to wait long

I didn't receive it like that, I sent them an email myself to inquire and that is the reply I got.

I can't believe that I have already completed 8 months!

It's been 6 months and 10 days for me since AOR.

I called CIC last week and they told me that my application is undergoing security check and asked me to check back at the end of the month.

Some folks have advised me to raise a CSE.

Do you guys recommend doing that and if yes then what should i precisely ask them?

Do you have extensive travel history, governmental or military background? And what is the country of your origin?

No I don't have any travel history in past 10 years. Only travel was when I came to Canada as a student and then went back once to visit my parents.
No governmental or military background. Country of origin is Pakistan

Well, what I see in common between most of us 'security screening' folks is nationality of or travel to Islamic or Middle eastern countries, beside possible military background. However some of us have absolutely none of that which makes the whole thing seem so random.

I don't fall into any of these categories I have been living in Canada for almost 4 years now.
