Meant to ask the date when you got your meds done. Mine were done May 20th (spouse was earlier in a different city) and they were listed as passed on/around June 16th.
I had the check performed on May 5 and I don't remember when the status was updated as there are no dates for that either in MyCIC or ECAS, but I do remember that it was a matter of days. Under a week or so

Thanks for responding. It looks like they might still be looking at early May meds. Wishing you quick processing moving forward!

Yes Deccan it seems they are on early May meds as mine was done May 06. I don't think many people had their meds in May so yours should be next week fingers ➕

Somehow this medical date logic is not working for me. My meds are done in April and going by this logic, I should have had my updates so far. But, didnt.

I had my status as "updated" twice today in mycic! no ghost emails and no further advancements. Did you get the infamous ghost email?

What alerted you check MyCIC? Just random checks ??

Deccan
I took medicals on 13th may and meds passed around 10june in ecas. I guess we will hear something from CIC next week

I can assure you that they are not going by Medical date.

passed medical does not guarantee any PR. They don't care if you had medicals done 6 months ago what matters is you AOR date.

and it also depends on case by case basis.

what does statistics say about BG check in progress timeline till approval of PPR without the passport turn around? thanks guys

Actually the date you had your medicals done is more important than when you submitted because medicals are valid for only one year. As you have to arrive before the expiration it makes sense that they process your app based on medical exams date.

Yes, randomly checking MyCIC every half an hour or so lol. I also just received a ghost email (roughly 24 hrs after the "updated" status on MYCIC) with no apparent change in ECAS or MyCIC other than what I had already seen yesterday.

The decision made on ECAS comes 24 hrs after the email.

Its hard to find an accurate pattern on how they are going when we always have cases that break the pattern every now and then.

Let's see how next few weeks go.

In fact, I got an email from CIC today notifying me of the update that I'd stumbled upon myself the previous day. On a completely different note, do you guys know whether/when CIC requests applicants' passports (I mean, the originals), how long they need them for and why?
