My closed work permit also expired on June 30 as well but I applied for an extension with the same employer on June 24 and am currently on implied status. in April I applied on the CIC website to "etend my stay".. I am not working though, as the temp resident permit doesnt allow for work or study on its own, it is merely to legitimize my status in canada.

If I get AOR I might apply for an OWP.

It's interesting that we have similar timelines, but I don't have ECAS access yet?? weird! When did yours become available?

I don't recall being asked for a reason..

You know on the CIC questionnaire, it asked what would you like to do? I said I want to extend my stay.. (didn't say work, or study), and my spouse is canadian so maybe that's the reason they assumed?

It took about 8 weeks from submission to receipt, I applied for it before my EE application.

RCMP ONLY request for spouse? are you the principal applicant? What kind of travel industry, SCH A?

I am principle applicant and I got RCMP request (Spouse also in Canada, but without request). However, I submitted both RCMP just in case any delay again.

I submitted my application on the same day as you, May 15...so far I only got request for my passport and RCMP...no IMM 5562 & IELTS...
