Declined FSW ITA after 6th draw for an CEC ITA in the 7th draw. Yea, that didn't happen. Only 5 points out so not too worried but was quite surprised to see the cut off rise to 469. It will eventually come down but I think CIC will keep the score around 450+ for a while.

Exactly the same thing, as did many others. Didn't see very many post about declining ITA after the last draw so I would expect a drop for the 8th draw now that people are properly filling out their profiles.

I don't understand why they can't add this simple code that would have saved a lot of us from getting ineligible FSW invites:
Code:
IF AND(Dependents = 1, Proof Of Funds < $11,931) THEN FSW = "Ineligible"

it's just matter of time and the number of ITAs. If the number of ITA is 1000+ in the next draw you are for sure invited.

good luck

I am pretty sure that 80% of those who received ITA in 7th draw were people who refused previous ITAs. Don't understand why people do that. You can manipulate your profile so you can be eligible only for CEC so stop rejecting ITA as other people may wait forever

You cannot manipulate your profile after receiving ITA. Therefore, if there is some data that you cant prove or not happy with a stream you have to decline.

Hey,

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but why would people decline their ITA under FSW to get one under CEC.
and how do you modify your profile to be only eligible for CEC?
Please explain, I am in the same boat and would like to take an informed decision.

Regards

1) People have foreign and Canadian experience and realized that they cannot get references letters for foreign jobs.
2) People cannot complete Proof of Funds requirements. CEC does not require to have 12000 in your bank account

In order to change your stream to only CEC:
1) Remove all foreign work experience from work history tab (it worked for me. Though I have only 1 year of Canadian so I do not know if it would work if I had more)
2) Reduce your funds below the minimum amount (its around 11,900 now)

Thats the cases that I am aware of. I might have missed something

I am 468. To me 7th draw wasnt shocking or unexpected. I was quietly laughing at people claiming that scores will drop to 380 soon.. What would be the point of this system if they allowed such a low human capital scores so fast. I think that the next draw will be 925 ITA again and score anywhere between 450-470.
380 isn't low capital , the problem is in CRS which apply strange rules compared to FSW

For example if your language is CLB 10 , 10 , 10 , 8 , according to FSW this is better than CLB 9 in all , however CRS gives a lot of points for specific CLB 9 in all .

Also FSW gives more points for experience until 6 years , CRS saturate at 3 only , which is very low experience and techincally they should allow thier fresh gradutes to fill in those positions !!

Well I could argue that 380 out of 1200 is fairly low. Yet as I said I am not saying that they wont be invited. I am saying that it might take quite some time to get an invitation, potentially not even this year. But that is my opinion and by no means do not take it as a fact and I might be completely wrong.
Regarding CLB. Its a tricky situation. I know people who are good in reading, listening and writing but cannot talk at all, hence cannot communicate effectively.
I agree with you that work experience should not stop at 3 years but EE is a new program and software so need time to polish.
